Default 2008 Corvette LS3. Expected Run?

My buddy just orgered an '08 Corvette (with new LS3). His is Automatic, with the slower gear (I think 2.56).
What will the Vette run in Auto, with this pathetic Gear?

It should be a mid 12 second car with a trap around 110-112

The manual ones will be low 12's-high 11's. They are basically faster than the 405 hp C5 ZO6, and those were low 12 cars in the hands of a good driver. The LS3 C6 has more hp, less weight and better aerodynamics than a C5 ZO6.

Yeah, but aren't those mid-12 sec times for the M6 with shorter gearing?
His is an Auto, with highway Gear (2.56).

Should it run more like 12.8ish?

12.8 ish is what an auto, poor geared LS2 Vette will run, stick LS2's are running mid 12's (12.4-12.6). The new LS3's 6 speeds are faster than the old C5 ZO6, which was a mid-low 12 car with a few having hit 11.9 stock.

The LS3 vette is heavier than the c5z06. Hell the ls3 vette is heavier than the LS2 vette and theC5Z was lighter than that as well.

That's odd, I have been hearing they weigh a bit less, but I have not put both on a scale so I can only go by what people are telling me. If I am wrong it won't be the first time.
