i am going to have to agree with the ls1 guys on this one, as muchas i like to try and stomp the ls1 cars i got to say, 1. you didn't go from a dig or even honk off a roll race you just put the pedal to the floor when you felt like it which would give you the advantage. 2. when he came back at you revved to show you he wanted to run again and you had the opportunity to make it fair you didn't. 3. no one has called bs to your run so why are peopletryin to instigate with the ls1 guys on here

to the OP nice run but if you you really want to claim a victory thenmake it a fair race.
Because certain members here like to whine about LS1 guys being "on thier forum" any chance they get. (notice it's usually the guys with the slowest cars who cry the most[:-])

Sounds like a good race, but remember you only won by a car, there was no "owning". I am not making exscuses for a Camaro guy with a bad attitude, it just seems your making out like you beat the guy by 10 car lengths. I always thought a Mach and a LS1 was a drivers race[&:]
x2... it didn't sound like it started even so it's pretty hard to declare victory when it was

A) a short race
and
B) no one pulled

If you had started dead even and ended dead even could you declare victor?

Good run none the less... I would have tried to run from a dig even if I had lost the roll just to see what happens...of course I am just a car guy and don't have any major ego issues so losing or winning doesn't matter that much.

in response to the fairness you guys are right im not saying it was completely fair, but mine and his reaction was pretty close to even, this guy was with me the whole way untill i went to third and redlined it, when he came up to me for some more we were traffic bound so there wasnt much we could do

when you line up and honk the anticipation to go is at the dicretion of the honker, the other guy is really off reaction

the only true fair race is at the track or from a stop, no one can complain about reactions because you get the same tree, yet they dont react at the same time, usually

on the street they dont react at the same time either

so when i assume you guys say fair i assume you mean track or some type of third party (tree, guy dropping hands, or stop light) initiating the go. this means that no one can complain about reaction but they might not react the same.

COMPLETELYfair is same reaction time, then its all driver and all car, but that doesnt really happen a lot

no it wasnt fair and yes he can complain about reaction cus i was the initiator of the race not a third party plus 1 to all who said that.

someone can complain every race if they dont have the same reaction time of the other person but that would be babying

this was a fun race not a professional one, ls1's are like my best competition besides another mach (both non modded of course) so i love to race both, i race machalicious (my twin bro) all the time for fun,

ls1's are nice tho, but i just hate seeing car bashing on the net, i will definately attempt to make a more fair race, this guy was antsy as hell, and i'm guaranteed our reactions were as close as any tree or hands or honks could get us.

that was one fun race tho, ls1's have mean engines

Little off topic but what do auto Machs usuallyrun? I know they have a different crank and lower redline then the 5-speeds...makes me wonder how much slower they are.

my neighbor ran 9.0 in the 1/8th....so thats like a 13.8 in the 1/4? that was with a 2.1 60 foot, so average with street tires

No it's just because you analyze every post that I make and then cry about it. You are the first to start crap with me in every post that I make in SS. If you dont like me then dont read my posts! I get along with every other LS1 guy on this board. BTW my best friend owns a modded 99 SS and one of my other friends has an 01 SS so I am familliar with their performance. But they are not the fastest car out there as you might think. If you cant take it then maybe you should go Mod the Classifieds or something!
...this is still a Ford enthusiast site. Feel free to click the red 'x' in your browser window and STFU. Thanks.I'm probably gonna get banned for this!

FYI just because it is an SS means nothing. The SS and Z28 are virtually identical. If both cars are equipped with the same trans/gearing they will run exactly the same times.
