Will some SS cars be faster than Z28 cars? Yes. Will some Z28 cars be faster than SS cars...Yes. To say the SS is faster than a Z28 just shows a lack of information/knowledge regarding F-body cars.

No it's just because you analyze every post that I make and then cry about it. You are the first to start crap with me in every post that I make in SS. If you dont like me then dont read my posts! I get along with every other LS1 guy on this board. BTW my best friend owns a modded 99 SS and one of my other friends has an 01 SS so I am familliar with their performance. But they are not the fastest car out there as you might think.If you cant take it then maybe you should go Mod the Classifieds or something!

I never roll up next to a 3 or 4V and think easy kill... I always know I have my work cut out and depending on what I am lined up with I know if I should expect to win or lose.... everything after that just happens.

The race was over and he pulls up next to me and revs hard again!! i told my gf, he just got dealt with and he's coming up beside me reving to restore any dignity i give him, i didnt rev back, he knew what was up, he didnt really want it again, i let him go in front of me so he could see what its like, his license plate said race or die, well i guesshesays it all ---> [sm=owned.gif]
QUESTION: why do maro owners insist on insulting our stangs? "rustangs" "mustinks" "mustangs get walked by maro's any day of the week, what day was that then? havent they heard of a mach, 4v's or cobras?4v's are notpunk engines, either are ls1's butafter my experience, ls1's are nothing to fear. i dont no why i used to, i guess the name carries a lot ofconotation.

just because he "rev'd" you doesnt mean hes calling your car a rustang... why do people think that? maybe it was just to say "good run" or something. and ive never heard mustinks come from a camaro driver, or anyone for that matter.
people argue because thats the fun. what kinda challenge or rivalry would it be if everyone was like "your car is better then mine!" wouldnt make much fun. people talk ****, just because they do doesnt mean they mean it. me and my friends talk crap all the time, we all know our cars are about even, but why not have some fun.
and as far as the owned thing... you didnt... you just had control over when the race started, and decided to jump without letting him have a fair chance.
not to rain on ur glory or anything, but you complaining about him being cocky... yet your being no different.

You're wrong...SS cars get added weight from their add ons (suspension is slightly different with bilsteins, thicker sway bars and springs , hood, spoiler, yada yada) and they usually get a muffler/intake (if ordered) that never really seems to make a difference anywhere but on the sticker price.... as far as the fastest....I guess if you count fastest times ever a Z28 has gone 12.89 @ 108mph and the fastest SS has gone 12.96 @ 107mph.. Thats fastest with proof by anyone that I am aware of...

i saw all that rustangs and mustinks thing on a camaro forum (told u imma fan of maro's i almost got a black ss but i wanted a 35 anniversary, couldnt find it), thought it was dumb, i mean i dont care to argue but about actual races not with what COULD happen we all no what could happen, this is personal experience, this is the fun part, the actual experience, not theoretical
and if your gonna put numbers done on stock cars put a link down like motor trend or car and driver so we can look at it without any doubtother wise your not supporting your argument (not to say that its not true but why should we believe you?). im not aware of who your aware of thats not good enough to persuade the audience that the cooler looking one is not the faster one. i say they are the same,because i have been persuaded by maro owner they are. (givin my lack of knowledge of the maro, i trust someone who owns it over me because they provided valid argument they are the same) butyou say the z28 is faster? you really have to back that up or no one is gonna be aware your talking.
mach1 have gone 13.2 motor trend, of course some may have gone faster but well stick to the pro's unless you got a timeslip with a stock car
