Who will win. 1993 lt1 z28 6 speed with a hurst short throw shifter Its mods arelong tube headers offroad y pipe and hooker catback, underdrive pulleys, and a cold air intake. Or a 1998 z28 Auto with a slp lid and a catback exhaust.

Probably the LS1. Might be a good race though if the LT1 guy can drive well. Especially if the LS1 has 2.73 gears.

 

If the LT1 guy can drive his *** off he will take it... a strong LS1 Auto would take it, but your average LS1 Auto may have its work cut out for it. If the LS1 had headers it would be no contest but CAI and LTs REALLY wake an LT1 up...

There is one hang up though...the 93 had two different rear ends for the 6 speeds I think... The M28 / M29 ordeal...I would be curious to know if he was GU2 or GU4 for the rearend.

Now of course if the guy can't drive then its an easy LS1 win....

FWIW I had an auto with CAI, 3.42s, lightyl ported heads, catback, Free mods, manual valvebody, 1LE A/C Delete, EGR Delete and I think that might have been it at the time....(No headers).. I ran my friends 99 LS1 SS Auto several times (he had DRs) and from a dig to 120mph when we would let off my nose would be at his door.

 

I have seen this race in person.... Ls1 takes it

If the guy in the LT1 knows his car and can drive it very well he could take him in the 1/8th. I dont see him winning in the 1/4 though.
