There is one hang up though...the 93 had two different rear ends for the 6 speeds I think... The M28 / M29 ordeal...I would be curious to know if he was GU2 or GU4 for the rearend.
Now of course if the guy can't drive then its an easy LS1 win....
FWIW I had an auto with CAI, 3.42s, lightyl ported heads, catback, Free mods, manual valvebody, 1LE A/C Delete, EGR Delete and I think that might have been it at the time....(No headers).. I ran my friends 99 LS1 SS Auto several times (he had DRs) and from a dig to 120mph when we would let off my nose would be at his door.
