Why does that not ever happen to me?? I can't find anyone here to run on the freeway, probably for the best.
Racing on the freeway is bad JuJu if you ask me... too many cops and helicopters. And the aerodynamics on the classics really don't like high speeds...

Damn dude, that is a 100 hp stronger car. The extra weight of the GTO shouldn't offset that much of a power advantage. Good runs.

Thats a great kill! Where are the people on this forum that say "why do Mustangs have only 4.6 liters compared to the mightyGTO 6.0 liter?" and "I am depressed about my small engine." This just proves that the $25k Mustang GT is a very capable muscle car!

Just be careful if you meet up with the new V8 M3. It has 414hp from a measley 4.0 liters!
thats only 14 more to the wheels than the goat 6.0, and depending on how much of a fatty it is, it may be just as fast or slower. or if its lighter it will probably be faster. its all about lbs and how you spread them out arround the car.

I know BMW made this V8 the lightest V8 ever made... 400-500LBS is the final weight of the 4.0L fully assembled... coupled with the carbon fiber roof and countless weight saving measures BMW in employing... I wouldn't be suprised if it ends up havingthe same curb weight as a new edge

YEAH OUR INTERIOR ARE DAMN SEXY MAN, stock for stock is a drivers race with the ls1 gto, with the edge for the gto after 100mph the ls1 pull like a beast, LS2 will stomp a mustang gt stock for stock though.
Its been discussed over and over that the LS1 GTO is a 13.6-13.7 second car, just like the 3v Mustangs. The fastest LS1 GTO I've ever seen ran a 13.5 and the fastest 3v Mustang I've ever seen ran a 13.4. I'm sure the LS1 GTO does have a better top end, but who cares who can get from 110 to 150mph the fastest, you wont see those speeds at the track. And its funny because alot of stock 3v's run neck and neck with LS2 GTO's. I've heard the LS2 GTO's are a pain in the *** to launch and drive, and its heavy as hell, so that plays a big role.

Hopefully its on the low side of that... an LS1 is less than 500lbs...
