GM is known for putting conservative tunes in their vehicles for their own reasons

YEAH OUR INTERIOR ARE DAMN SEXY MAN, stock for stock is a drivers race with the ls1 gto, with the edge for the gto after 100mph the ls1 pull like a beast, LS2 will stomp a mustang gt stock for stock though.
Its been discussed over and over that the LS1 GTO is a 13.6-13.7 second car, just like the 3v Mustangs. The fastest LS1 GTO I've ever seen ran a 13.5 and the fastest 3v Mustang I've ever seen ran a 13.4. I'm sure the LS1 GTO does have a better top end, but who cares who can get from 110 to 150mph the fastest, you wont see those speeds at the track. And its funny because alot of stock 3v's run neck and neck with LS2 GTO's. I've heard the LS2 GTO's are a pain in the *** to launch and drive, and its heavy as hell, so that plays a big role.
here we again.........didnt i just say it was a drivers race with the edge to the ls1gto as the speed increases. if you wanna think that stock for stock the 3v is a drivers race with LS2 fine, you would know better i guess
I never said it was a drivers race, I said the 3v's can run neck and neck with the LS2 Goats because they are hard to drive.

Then again, the ls2 gto could lose to a toyota corolla if the driver sucks, having said that ls2 vs s197 with equal drivers the ls2 will stomp the the s197. bottom line both cars are great muscular cars

In reading the OP's post,i would say he's got mods that he's not disclosing,or is unaware of. There should be no contest between a mid-pipe only S197 auto and a auto stock LS2 GTO from a 55mph-115mph roll race......I can see a close run from a dig.....But in no way, shape, or form should he be able to hang with a LS2 Goat from a high speed roll....unless he was toying with the OP..

I raced a stock LS2 GTO from a 45 roll in my geared and full bolt on 04, it was a walk in the park

for him.... I'd say by 80-90 he had 4 lengths on me

^^^^+1...I'd say a bolt-on new edge is a pretty even matchup with a mid pipe S197...

I would say so as well.... I've beaten stock 3V's and lost to lightlymodded ones by a few feet

so being that both carsare autos and from what I've seen from an LS2 personally... the OP must have that special Type R 3rd valve that they offer

either that or that goat's tranny hesitated for about 2 hours
