well....
i went out today and tried to see how fast i could get up to 60 and with a broken posi i only have one wheel spinning so ihave to get the rpms pretty low for a launch so that i dont sit and have my tires smoked off but i can still get up to 60 in 5.82 sec. (my dad had a stopwatch) so when i rebuild my rear end ill be able to bring the rpms up a bit higher so that im more into the powerband and when i get my new tires installed im hoping that ill be right around 5.5 what would i have had done to get it to that time? the heads look stock im thinking maybe there is a better cam in it or something cause everything else looks pretty stock, i've had experiance racing other cars on the 1/4 and on road tracks so i know how to drive so maybe this other person didnt
I don't want to add fuel to the fire, but have you ever looked at the stock headers for the 5.0's?? They are kinked in the top to allow for easier install, replaceing them does actually make a difference (not saying its enough to take a new 3v) but still
i realize you have to account some human error into the time but its not going to be that much.
okbfd im asking if anyone thinks they would know whats been done i havent done anything since ive got it except for what it says in my sig, the motor looks stock so im guessing it could be a mild cam but im not sure what it is, i guess ill find out when i do my hci swap this winter

I guess he should change it to arm or something eh?
I belive you!!! Nice kill!!!! 5.0's rule!!!!
Ehhhh anything can happen when you are racing someone beleive it or not, not everyone driving the god like 3v's is an experienced racer (especially considering 99% of the drivers are in their 40's and women)

Did you forget that you ran mid 9's in the 1/8th mile with a modded 3v? I bet you weren't "LMAO" then, because a lot of 5.0, and non- PI's 4.6's could hand you your *** running times like like that. The situation the OP describes is perfrectly possible. Yes, I agree that the 05 should have pulled pretty good on the OP, but it didn't happen, and sure,a lot has to do with the driver.
If the OP can run mid 14's, like in your example, he would have given you one hell of a race whenever you ran in the 9's. I understand that was your first times at he track, and I am not trying to give you a hard time about it, just trying to put things in perspective. You resort to "paper racing" (theroretical), when you have had 1st hand experience that cars are not always driven to their full potential.

LMAO at that post and the OP post. The OP's car probably runs high 14's, which is like 1 full second if not alittle more slower than a 3v. And if your car is running 14.5, you arent beating any GT's except from 98 and before. The only thing you guys are beating is the drivers.

my car typicaly runs right with a new GT.. unless it's modded.
theres a 17 year old that goes to the track with an 06 with SCT tune, CAI and 3.73 gears. runs 13.2 all day and hes not the best driver
