Default Vtech Kill

One of my friends has a '98 Vtech Honda Prelude, it's straight piped and has a CAI. I've got a 302 with a mild cam, headers, K&N filter, dual Flowmaster 40's and a manual 4-speed.

We were just BSing in class today, when he asked if I wanted to race him, for awhile I've been wondering how I'd do, so I agreed. After school we headed out into the country onto some vacant road that nobody was one and lined up. I honked three times and we went for it. I didn't get much traction off the line so he pulled to my front bumper, once I was able to get traction I pulled in back in pretty easily. I had about 3 cars on him at the beginning of 3rd and he gained about a car have way through 4th. At about 110 mph we shut down and he was about 5 ft. from my rear bumper. I was pretty pleased considering it was my first real kill. How do you guys think I did?

I'm almost positive the '65s had a 3.00 rear but I could be mistaken

You mean what gears, or what rearend? I've got the standard 65 rearend and gears that are slightly lower than stock, but I'm unsure of the exact number (I know I should know the exact number but I don't).

A couple of my buddies raced a year or so ago. It was a 97 Prelude with intake full exhaust from headers back and it had a great tune on it VS. a 1991 302 fox body with just and exhaust and thats it. I was ridding in my buddy's Prelude and my friend in the foxbeat him twice. The first race the fox missed third and won by a fender. The second race was perfect and he won by at least a 1.5 cars. Just some food for thought......

This winter I'll put a bigger cam in it along with a few other goodies, and next summer I'm shooting for new heads. I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
