Well... I hate street racing... but I sorta had one tonight anyway. But it wasn't any of this "I wound out 5th gear in a 45 zone and by the time I reached 130 I had 8 cars on him" crap.

Around 8:30ish last night, I was on my way out to Arby's I'm cruising down coliseum. I get stopped at the first light... it turns green I take off normal and shift at 4500 rpm to 2nd, again into 3rd and this Volvo fuggin SCREAMS right by me... I'm just chillin listening to collective soul thinkin... uh... ok.

Next light turns red he stops, I come up behind him in the center lane (he's in the right lane). Not really paying much attention to it.

Light turns red, I feather the clutch and roll out like the last light, he kinda paces along with me.

NEXT FREAKIN LIGHT TURNS RED... I hate that road. [:@]

Anyway, he's next to me, and there's this dodge something or another in the far left lane. The opposing turn light turns yellow, then red... I start my slow take off again, feather the clutch ease into first at 1400 rpm or so...

Next thing I know I hear squeal look over and he's pushing it hard, he gets to my front end and in a split second I say fugg it and floor my little poor, abused B16a.

Through first, I hit VTEC at 5500 rpm I'm at his rear door, Slam it into second... ****... somehow... SOMEHOW... I had some mad torque steer, perhaps because it's 22 degrees out... and these yoko yk420s suck ***.

I pull into second and my car pulls to the right a little bit... HORRID shift, he pulls his rear bumper to the front of my car... I continue into second until about 55ish and he never gained another inch on me.

I think it woulda been a very good race between us had we been on an open highway, kinda like the night I wound through 4th gear with a 4.0 Aurora and pulled 1/4 car length on him. (that was like 8 months ago)

I look back after I left off and put it in 4th gear and let it wind down to 45 mph... and that Dodge truck goes flyin by me and continues to do 60-70 down a 45 mph zone.

That family sedan is fuggin quick...

It was just like that, light silverish color, Volvo S60, not sure if it was an S60R or not, which I doubt because they have 300 bhp.

So I have no idea what engine it had, because there's like 7 different engine options:

Five-cylinder high-pressure turbo petrol engine (260 bhp)
Five-cylinder 2.5-litre light-pressure turbo petrol engine (210 bhp)
Five-cylinder 2.0-litre light-pressure turbo petrol engine (180 bhp)
Five-cylinder petrol engine (140 bhp or 170 bhp)
Five-cylinder direct injection turbodiesel (130 bhp or 163 bhp)
Five-cylinder Bi-Fuel engine, methane/petrol (140 bhp)
Five-cylinder Bi-Fuel engine, LPG/petrol (140 bhp)

I'm thinking it was one of the 180-260 hp engines.

I think it's getting close for the time to put on my AVS ES100s... once it gets warmer anyway, maybe then I'll have some decent traction.

hey whats up? Yeah The spot where I raced that aurora was off the Anthony light, then he turned left down stellhorn. Where I ran this guy was down the ways as you're going northbound just north of Lake Ave, there's a side street entrance light there. After i pulled through second and let off he turned down State.

I see cops sitting right up the street at the police station and BP going towards glenbrook all the time though, so i just keep it right around the limit most of the time, and I drive on Coliseum almost daily.

It started snowing tonight... I was gonna try to rotate my tires today, but nooo...

I had a 2001 volvo s60 turbo. It was pretty quick but the automatic no slip wheel control was a real hp breaker. it would fly on the highway though. I traded it in for my durango. Not a hemi but its a magnum!
