Ok im expecting some flaming for this A. because it doesnt involve a stang, and B i did beat a ferrari.

I was comin home from work and i see some low *** lights comin up from behind me. Im on a long 6 mile straight road by the way. No sidestreets, no lights. What comes up from behind me? A damn red 355 challenge (i believe thats the non-vert?) And what a ferrari is doin in this ****hole town i go to shcool in i have no idea Anyway he gets next to me, and im sorry, but i HAD to try and get him to run. I throw him a medium range rev, and he throws back this full throttle scream. YES hes game. Were goin about 45-50 (perfect roll for me). I downshift into second and wait for him.

Few seconds later, i hear him drop it and floor it. He pulls a car while i punch it. I start pulling on him immediately, and by 90-95 i have a good 2 cars on him.

YES i beat a ferrari. He flies by me as i shut down, and just keeps going. He doesnt even slow down. Whether he thought he just pulled like a raped ape top end or he was embarassed i dont know. Either way i waxed a maranello car tonight baby.

Now i know he would have pulled me past 130 or so im guessing (dont think the 355's were all that fast) because of the ferrari top end. But seriously, all hail the american V8 for a nice quarter mile run!

Ya i could believe it.
I dont know which exact kind of ferrari u raced. but i found these numbers..
0-60 and 1/4 mile
1995 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta 4.7 12.8
1996 Ferrari F355 Spider 4.9 13.4
1997 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta 4.8 13.2

Ya they should be good for mid-upper 12s. They arent really a drag racing car though, built more for circle track. It really doesnt take much for a muscle car to out drag a ferrari. If your in the 12s your pretty close to most of em. From a roll they are a lot faster tho, i think the 355 tops out at around 185 or so.

 

Yeah the Ferraris are definitely not good drag cars. Sh@t the F50 is what half a million bucks and only does mid 12's in the quarter, but boy they'll leave you like you're sitting still if you try to hang with one through the twisties. Good run though, bet it hurt his ego that his high dollar sports car got dusted by Average Joe's daily driver. A lot of those guys have more money than brains, and they don't realize the weaknesses of their own cars.

Do you have an LS1 or LT1?

Those 355's have around 350-400 HP dont they? And they are very light. Seems like a real Ferrari would have won. Who knows........
