first time using drag radials on sunday.....SCHOOL ME
Yeah - I know the MT site says 16 but on the ET streets I have tried everything from 10 to 18 psi and 12.5 (same with their slicks) seems to be the magic number...
PS - the ET Drag Radials work best at about 16 psi but he said he has the ET 'Streets'. Those tires are the same M5 compound as thier slicks and work best at 12.5 psi.

at the very least, i can finally shift 1-2 as hard as i want to without worrying about spinning the **** out of it. or can I?

well, if you wanna leave hard and you dont' care about rear sending stress to rear end. then as ford fan boy said, lower the tire pressure to (i say 15psi) and do a decent burnout and it will be like 17psi and you SHOULD hook without a problem at 5000RPM dump and hold on.
i saw a guy cutting 1.4 60' on M/T drag radials and running low 9s
and when you shift to second gear, there will be nothing but a quick chirp and thats it.

Doodad...Didn't you see someone dump a fox at 6K with mickey's? Then break the trans?
Last night art Irwindale Adam from ST Motorsports was doing his license passes in his 05 black KB car. He has the stock 3.55 gears and was using the new MT ET Streets 30" tire. He shut down after 1st gear but he turned a 1.37 60' with those 3.55's!!![

It's probably fair to mention though that his car puts out 826 rwhp...

All I know is I ran my ET Streets with the stock motor and a vortech at 14 psi with the stock manual trans at 12.5 psi and I averaged 1.57 60's for a year. But Sidewayz brought up a good point, I also used 4.10 gears.
