Congrats on the new best. I'd try a second gear burnout til you see smoke at the fenders then drop the emergancy break and roll forward hard. Try launching between 3500 and 4 grand. Nothing will break. I launch at 5500 on full race slicks and I've been running stock axles all year.
Most of the time, nothing breaks...just don't be suprised if something does

Nice run. Your track picture looks really good. Just imagine if you even resized it properly!
LOL This statement is probably a little more true than my statement. But if your afraid of breaking you shouldn't be at the track in the first place.
oh come on whos not afraid of breaking something?

i just didn't think repeated 6K clutch dumps would be neccessary. if most people on here break something, its a major pain in the ***. if i break something, im SOL and JWF. (**** out of luck and jolly well ****ed)

What im saying is theres a difference between not wanting to break and being afraid to break. Obiviouslly no one wants to break anything but thats not realalistic when your beating the crap out of your car.And launching your car on drag radials is alot harder on a vehicle than a nice soft rolling start from a stop sign. [&:]If you want to get the most out of your DR's your going to have to launch the car hard. If running fasts means I have to crawl under the car to replace an axle I'm willing to pay that price. Are you???

Most of us are in the same boat. I have a saving account just for breaks on the car. By the way it's empty as of about 6 weeks ago. Frickin clutch[:@]

Good job. I would add some air in the tire. 14lb is very low. I would try 20lb. It sould be the same for 60' but more mph.

Just so I'm on the same page with the OP, what kind of numbers were you expecting with the dr's?

Considering it's a RWD car, I'm thinking that these statements are just a little contradictory.

He can DEFINITELY pull a 1.80 short time out of those tires as he sits--with some practice of course. I'd say a 13.20 is easily within reach, maybe a 13.0 if he is superman off of the line and powershifts.
