LS1 Corvette!?!?

Look here ****tard, it's not my fault you run what I run with tons of $ invested in your car. Not to mention it probably weighs 3000lbs. Some of us work for a living and go to school, we don't have 24/7 to drag race.
Ah, you always hate what you don't understand or have....

no offense but at least JD is at the track making multiple passes every weekend and not making excuses like I see someone else doing [8D]

Oh ya becareful bouncing off your rev limiter while hitting the nitrous button hate to see your ls1 all over the track in pieces
I can't wait for some tires. I'm hitting 1.95 60 foots on these POS street tires. Next time I go i "should" be able to hit a 1.8 60 foot on the same tires. Once I get some other things done I would like to slap some MT DR's on the thing and try a nice hard launch to a 1.6 60 foot. Hopefully the spec 2 will hold it.
I have been at corvette shows 3-4 times a year for the past 5 years...my dad has 2 of them and he races them. It all depends on who is driving. The Vette is by no means what so ever and 1/4 mile car. It is not built for it and is not tuned for it. The vettes are made for turns and long runs. You try to take you Mustnag out on a back road or on an interstate with one and you will be very very sorry you ever did. But you can usually expect mid 13's out of a stock vette and just over 110mph..maybe 112-115. However, it doesnt take much to get a vette to haul *** thru the quarter. I went to several of the Corvette Challenges this past year and these guys are runnin 383 strokers, 427's, super chargers and some just w/ Heads/Cams. My dad vette (before he droped the 427 and D1 pro-chrger in it) had just Heads/Cams and couldnt get any one to race him b/c with just those he ran 11.9 on a bad track. I dont know if any of you have ever been to Bowling Green...but the track ot Beech Bend raceway down there is HORRIBLE. But yes, mid 13's is a good time...Daniel, who ever was driving tat car did not know what he was doing.
thats true about what he said how corvettes are not set up for the quarter mile. F-body's will respond much better mod for mod in the quarter than a vette. Corvettes are just sick *** cars on road courses and such. But they do still should run mid 13's out of the factory.

It's the same motor as in the Fbodys only a little more power. How would they not respond to mods any better?

ok, but look at it this way. Your taking 2 totaly seperate platforms with 2 totaly different drivelines and comparing motor output on a chassis dyno? That will never fly. The Vette WILL make more power then the fbody due to the manifold and exhaust design. pull a vette motor and an fbody motor and dyno the MOTOR and you will see that. But your puting the power through totlay different linetrians. Your going to get less power through the IRS in the vette then you would in the solid axle of the fbody. This will bring the power levels very close, but that is in NO way a good test for motor output.
But that still didn't have anything to do with the fact that they are the same motor and respond exactly the same to mods.
