i left at idle short shifted out of first at 4k rpms went to second and still hopped and spun, the car is just not meant for street tires i tired everything. I lowered the tire pressure up front, raised it in the back, short shifted and nothing would work. Street tires and that track just don't mix well with my car. Its not a driver thing really becuase i launch just fine on the street i actaully get better traction. Trust mei thought it was me for the longest time and the funny thing was i tried everything anyone said and none of it really worked as great as people thought it would.

Another thing to consider is that Lapeer isn't a great track from what I've heard as far as prep and all that stuff.

Yeah it did...either let off or he has stock heads... (of course even with stock heads he should have done better with the way that 1/8 mph is.)

I don't know what the car had done specifically but they towed it there, it was rrunning open headers and it had to of had a cam with how radical the idle was

Strange...with stock heads my CC306 cam was 113+mph traps... I have friend with the GM Hot cam (stock heads) that traps 109~110mph in the 1/4.. and we were both automatics. Of course not all cars are created/built equal so it could have been a pos for all i know.
