Now that Si mentions it, that sounds plausible/feaseable. You will probably smoke him, dont shift early, redline that sucker out each time. The main thing I see where people screw up is they shift early or shif tlike grandma is driving. If its Auto, just let it do its thing.

i have never had a problem with evos. they tend to be slightly slower than subies at the same mod level. hell, they just are. if the kid takes some time out to mod his car and learn about it, you WILL be in a world of hurt. note, i havent raced an evo in a year. back then, they didnt have most of the proven mods they do now. if his parents buy his parts too, your feelings will get hurt. not that evos are the fastest things on the road.

Are you kidding me? LMAO!!! So you have no real experience with one and all this...
SPRAY and some gears. Take everything out of the car you dont need, like AC, power steering, all that stuff. Dont bother with a wimpy 50 shot, get a decent wet kit some stickies wouldnt hurt and then you can make a good showing. Or just start saving for that blower, you can do it if you apply yourself. Get another job or get a lighter car with more power. FWIW I have rich kids whos daddy buys them stuff too. I usually beat them while spending less $$$ and I can fix it myself.
