Launching an AWD comes down to skill. Whether its an Evo or STi. It all comes down to driver. I'd say with my 1.65 60' on street tires I have it down pretty good. With boost controller, I/E and flash, I murdered a 99 s/c gt and 03 pulley'd cobra in a street race, I posted it on here a while back. A few days later we were on the highway and they both left me like I was in reverse, I was murdered, slaughtered, raped, owned, whatever you want to call it, from a highway roll. I now have cams and an other tune and I stick with s/c 99 and on track set up the cobra very very slowly walks away from me.
Get some gears to go with those mods. Granted the head and cams won't put you at s/c numbers right now, but the gears atleast 3.73s will be your biggest help. Just remember when you do end of racing him, get your tires really warm, and burnout through where you are going to be launching. That way you have fresh warm rubber down where your tires will need traction.
I can guarentee he won't know how to launch his car. Get your work done and burn him from a roll
