I was crusin around the other day w/ my girlfriend in the passenger seat of my Mach and we were cruisin along minding our own business when a mean ol' vette thought he would pick on me. Well this vette happen to be a C4 so i knew i could hand him his @$$ with very little effort on my part. So he pulls out from behind me and punches it...so i do the same...i drop it into 2nd gear going about 45 as he starts to close in on me. But before he can even catch up to me enough to get door 2 door with me i start pulling away from him...as we went down the road a little ways, he pulls up next to me and rolls his window down in shame and says....."$%*& that thing is fast!" I showed that bully what was up and put him in his place. Next time he will know his roll and shut his mouth!!

 

Sounds like it was fun . What do those C4's have for a motor? I see you have full exhaust, what all did that do for you on the Mach? (power gains, sound change?).

2nd gear @ 45mph = fun .

 

Mach1>>>C4 vette. Now the ls1...thats a challenge and if your on the freeway forget about it.

 

I believe the C4 Vettes had a 350 TPI (L98) from '84-'91 (I could be wrong qbout this), then the LT1 from '92-'96. In 1990 they came out with the ZR-1 with a 375 hp LT5 (rare and rediculously expensive) and in 1996 they made a Grand Sport with a 330 hp LT4 (much more common).

 

Ive raced a stock LT1 Vette and pulled about a car on him and then I hit the brakes and started slowing down and he passed me, threw up a rock and cracked my windshield. [:@] I whooped him though.

 

92-96 C4 had the LT1. The Grand sport had the LT4 and the ZR1 had the inpressive 12 second LT5.

Stock C4 should be running high 13's.

 

a 92 up C4 yeah, mid to low 13's. Pre LT1 cars are SLUGS. If Mach didnt beat one of the old 350 cars then there is something wrong with the Stang. I have this interesting video of a C4 racing my high 11 sec 79 Formula. He looks like he is standing still, its very funny to watch. If I can get my webspace up and running, I will post a link to it for you guys.

 

Yeap... it took the Corvette engine to make those Fbodys fast. LOL

 

i got rocked by a z06. i was bored though and he was being an ***. he was still an afterwards by giving me the finger like i did something wrong? still think the BMW drivers are the biggest *****. nice kill! i love seeing people who spend a boatload of money on a car only to have it beat by a car that cost less than half what they paid.

 

BMW drivers...I can't ever get one to run, oh well.

C4's are cheap....I'd bet you could pick one up for under $10k with decent mileage on it.
