Head/cam/intake and a 100 shot should do the trick against a C6 from a dig.....I don't think a bottom end replacement is nessessary, Did'nt the foxbody 5.0's come with forged internals?

Does it resemble this one?

Bah, Le Mans Blue is'nt as good as Monterey Red...lol
Don't feel bad man. There is always a faster car out there.....At least you lost to a late model Vette, It could have been worse losing toa turboed/nitrious/steriod/ etc. Civic...lol

Yoursituation is excellent......It's lightweight, paid off, and with forged internals your car is already at a great starting point to build it up...

Dude, there's certainly no shame in losing toa C6 with a 20 year old Mustang. The entire LS engine family from the LS1's on up perform very well, and the new C6's are quite fast. With gears, h/c/i and suspension you could prolly match pace with a C6 or run a little faster and still have something you could drive every day, but it certainly won't be cheap. If it was a C6 Z06, then you're talking a whole different animal....a much, much......MUCH bigger animal, and to be faster than THAT would require either a pretty wild n/a 302 with totally badass suspension(and I mean a wild 302), a prettybeefy 351W with really good suspension, or a power adder of some sort. Nitrous is cheap, easy and reliable(if done right). You could be as quick as a C6 with nitrous reliably, but I wouldn't wanna try and spray enough juice to match a Z06 on a stock bottom end.

im not sure which one it was, i just know it was a newer one, and he kept messin with me so i said what the hell, and then i wanted to cry
Atleast you had a worthy opponent. All I get is Dodge rams and the occassional full size chevy.

I did have a 88 or so GT rev at me from the turn lane. Not sure what he was trying to do since he was turning, but the car looked like complete ****. It was probably crazy fast, but if you don't look good doing it then what's the point.

LOL, did that Vette driver fall asleep at the tree, or what? It looks like his reaction time was waaaaayyy slow, not that it would have mattered.

It wouldn't of mattered had he been on!!! he trapped at 106.7mph.....on all motor I was trappin' @ 112 so I really didn't need the NOS later that day I trapped 120 on NOS with a 100 shot and ran 11.34
