so i was out christmas shopping and after i leave im at a LONG FRIGGEN LIGHT and this accord next to me motions for me to roll down my window. He says wanna get spanked? i was all excuse me?.... so he states hes got a blah blha blah honda vtec motor i could care less to remember what he said putting out 14 psi.then did a big VROOOOOOOOOOOM TSSSSSSST except the vroom was more of a ehhhhhhhhhhhhh lawnmowar sound. so i just kinda rolled my eyes and looked str8 forward. the light turns green and i book it. i pull like 3 cars on him instantly then i look back and see him pulling hard on me. for some stupid reason my car shifted at like 4k rpm from first. after i got my rpms back up i pulled away like a madman but i was kinda dissapointed. i had shut him up but i thought my car would have more power than that. its the first time ive opend her up. it is mission on a cylinder that has 0 compression but most shops tell me that wont hinder hp that much.

 

You're romping on it with a bad cylinder? Braver than me...that's just asking for it.

Wow...I would't go to any of those shops if I were you to get any actual work done.

 

your car is just not as fast as you think, there are such things as fast 4 bangers. Anything can be fast with money

 

i just beat it with a v7
im getting new heads,rods,rockers,valves... basically everything top end next weekend.
and really i wasnt comparing it to the honda just as to how it felt when i got on it. i could care less about the honda.

 

my car doesn't feel as fast when im racing people either. I think it is honestly in your head

 

so after i get these heads fixed how............actually how much more power will i have after i fix the missing?

 

Depends. 20-40 hp potentially. Depends on relating mods. Do you know that the miss is in the top end of the motor and not a piston or rings?

 

it leaks out of the exhaust when you compress air into it.... and all the other valves sit perfectly

 

FWIW I had a lose injector on my CC306 LT1 and it was literally a second slower until I realized my rookie mistake.

Any kind of cylider miss/failure it going to cost you big (power wise and potentially money wise)... It's hard to say how much power you are down right now which makes it even harder to determine what you would gain with any mods you would do.
