They are pretty damn quick on a wet road course thats for sure!
Was the only car of the day that made a pass on me.
Im pretty sure it was the R32. all wheel drive I suspect?

at about 2:26 seconds I let em pass, he slowly makes ground on me, but then later gives up?

Or I was thinking he was thinking, damn, I better just let this guy go ahead before he kills himself trying, lol

I don't know what R32 stands for, but it doesn't mean fast. Stock, they suck -IMO. AWD or not, they are 6cyl slugs. I looked into getting one since there aren't too many around here, but once I got the specs and watched a few youtube vids, I decided no way. High 14sec cars for 30k, that's alright, I'll pass. You did the right thing not wasting your gas or taking a risk in traffic byracing him.

I know they can be, and have been made to be fast. ANY car can be made fast. Just not impressive for a stock $30k car.

I suppose 250hp from a 3.2 litre is respectable. Base price of 31k seems awful steep for what you get though. Its a two door, nothing little car. Are they a solid car or do they have the feeling of a roller skate.

Its a very solid car just like VW's entire lineup right now. Its like driving a little go-kart around except more torque

A friend of mine got an R32. I am pretty sure w/ only a tune, he was putting out about 210AWHP and about 250ish tq. I was acually surprised out of a NA car w/ that small engine. I didnt get to ride in it but, I had to say, I was impressed.

That's a quite a bit of torque for that little *** engine.
