lightning vs srt 10
2 friends of mine are in a major heated debate over who has the faster truck... there both stock and both guys are pretty good drivers. its an 04 lightning and im not to sure on the year of the viper truck. anyways i gave them these stats on both of the trucks. from the information on the two trucks that i have searchedits seems the 0-60 and1/4 mile times are more consistantwith the lightning thanthe srt10.therefore i said its gonna be a driversrace and IMO favoring the lightning because of being a automatic and lighter and would seem alot easier to launch... whatdo yall think??

Lightnings might be a lot lighter, but they have puny 17 in stockers to try and take all that torque to the pavement for launch.
I personally think the SRT10 is faster. You buddy with the SVT should get a pulley swap+tuner combo and turn the tables.

ive seen the two trucks race, I cant say much for who will win, because the srt 10 driver i watched was a HORRIBLE driver, so the Lighting got the win.. There is defiently more room for error with the srt 10 so its just up to him, he is the deciding factor
ya im sure if the lighting got a intake and exhaust it wouldnt be a contest... and +1 on having some sinny tires on the lightning! ive gotten to drive both trucks and their both amazing! the viper sets you back in the seat a lot more but the ford seems like it has a better powerband, i guess because of the s/c?? how do you thing it would go down from like a role? like 40 to 120

I'd side with the SRT10.
Now if the SRT10 had a 4 speed like the extended cab SRT10's do, I think it would be very close.
yeah, the srt-10 definitely has the edge, BUT also has a lot more room for error since its a manual. its the srt-10 owners race to win or lose. it will be fairly close so if he misses a shift, blows the tires on the launch, or just can't drive the truck to its full potential, the lightning will be able to get the win
