What all does the Firehawk package include? Sounds like he was pulling pretty hard considering your mods.
I didn't throw the full bag of tricks at him. I was running on the pump gas setting and the downpipe cutout was closed. Those two things alone are probably close to 60 HP less then the way I run at the track.

I figured it was something like that. I knew you had a pretty quick car there and was wondering how that Firehawk managed to hang in there like he did. How much of a gain do you get with the cut-out? I know alot of SRTs use them.

It's good for about 10HP to the wheels.

I have a good buddy of mine that has a WS6 and his looks just like the Firehawk ... I see no differance in the 2 as far as appearance goes. I seen a Firehawk for the time yesterday -- I pulled beside him thinking that it was my buddy then he gave it a little gas and pulled ahead of me -- lucky for him I was in my DD (Civic) or I would have raced him to see the out come. So what does a Firehawk have for RWHP compared to a WS6?
Wasn't exactly about the appearence itself... All of the hawks I've ridden in have just felt a lot different than the other F-bodys... powerwise it's like they said... but it's more of the suspension upgrades than anything.
Firehawks do have a different hood and wheels. From the frontWS6/WU6 differenceis very evident, IMHO. Also, I am thinking some suspenion packages were optional within the WU6 Package ( Firehawk ), but I may be mistaken.

Just a quick question blue...are the numbers you've told me before on pump or race gas on hom?

I know you've told me, I just forgot and don't want to go searching through threads, rofl.

I was just curious what you were putting down on pump w/o hom

BTW, gotta love stage 3 spool, hope the 'new mods' you're headed for don't make it spool too much slower

I've been told the 50 pound compressor wheel doesn't effect spool time. We'll see but to be honest I'd give up a couple hundred RPMs of spool for another 50 to 75HP.

I didn't get the chance to see him from the front since he took off on me -- maybe I'll see him around some time

Oh of course! I was looking at dyno charts the other day and I think they spooled closer to big turbo range, but like you said...the power gain is worth it. What does your car [everybody's is different with so many people having boost leaks and not fixing them] spool at normally? Even if you add 500 rpm to it, which is unlikely, it's worth it.

Oh, just for fun the guy that owns the shop where I have all my work done went to the dyno [we were tuning my car] and he put his car on afterward. With his cutout opened he gained 16 whp!

The spool time on the stock TDo4 and the Stage 3 Tdo5 turbo are very close. (within 200 RPMs or so)Thats why the stage 3's can win a 1/4 mile drag against a 50 or 60 trim but losses on the high speed highway pulls. Why kind of DYNO # did you get with the 50 trim?
