Took down the Talon
Zoie_daGT, from your description you most likely ran a 2nd gen awd tsi, he should give you a pretty good run, which he did, but with your mods you should pull. Theres noooooo way an esi would stay with you, unless it was seriously modded, and i dont know why anyone would mod an esi when tsi's are so cheap as it is. Also from a roll you have an advantage with rwd compared to awd. There were a lot of things leaning your way.
Be careful what you call a bumble bee engine, a talon may sting you one day...

no turbo from what I heard but I cannot hear many bumble bee engines over my own car. I really wasn't payin too much attention to him but more on the road

Well, im not scared of any because i have played with a couple GST's and didnt have to think twice. I realize they did not have AWD, but from what youre saying it would be embarassing(for them) for me to race one. Unless its heavily modd'd and can run a better than a high 12. Then i'll pass. lol.

Awesome setup. Im planning on doing a pi intake/headswap this summer. It should make a world of a difference. Yea, if i were you i wouldnt be too afraid of talons, lol. Im getting a shifter, 3.73s, and a clutch soon. How much did your clutch job cost? Nevermind, you probably put it in yourself. I wish i could. Im looking into a king cobra clutch, my stock one is almost dead. Your car is what i hope mine to be like in a couple years, lol. Nice car.
Thanks man, yeah i do everything myself. But the clutch was very easy, only thing i hated was trying to locate the starter bolts. lol. but my 3/8 impact and like 5 feet of extensions i finally got it. lol. I dont really know how much it should cost though... Alot of people tell me i will have a hard time with 2005 Mustang GT's... hahahahaa

sounds like a stock tsi. i have a 96 w/ td05-14b (1st gen) turbo and it gets up and goes pretty well. stock, they are not too great. the t-25 sucks on a 2.0L. good kill. they arent POS's...sometimes. they just require a lot of up keep.

40-45? what? my first runs up to around 40 something and my 2nd gear runs all the way up to 70, granted i wont down-shift into 2nd any higher than 50.
