Zoie_daGT, from your description you most likely ran a 2nd gen awd tsi, he should give you a pretty good run, which he did, but with your mods you should pull. Theres noooooo way an esi would stay with you, unless it was seriously modded, and i dont know why anyone would mod an esi when tsi's are so cheap as it is. Also from a roll you have an advantage with rwd compared to awd. There were a lot of things leaning your way.

no turbo from what I heard but I cannot hear many bumble bee engines over my own car. I really wasn't payin too much attention to him but more on the road
Be careful what you call a bumble bee engine, a talon may sting you one day...

Well, im not scared of any because i have played with a couple GST's and didnt have to think twice. I realize they did not have AWD, but from what youre saying it would be embarassing(for them) for me to race one. Unless its heavily modd'd and can run a better than a high 12. Then i'll pass. lol.

Yea, wow, i didnt know the extent of your mods. With a bigger turbo, supporting fuel mods, exhaust, and other mods they are quick as ****. Modded eclispe GSTs and talon tsi's can be made very fast for pretty cheap. But you can say that about any car. Most people who own gst's or tsi's spend as much money modding their cars as they do fixing them, lol. Every now and then you'll get smoked by one. Casper, whats your lowest 1/4 time? High 12s im assuming because you refered to them. What mods do you have, you must have a pi swap or something.

Awesome setup. Im planning on doing a pi intake/headswap this summer. It should make a world of a difference. Yea, if i were you i wouldnt be too afraid of talons, lol. Im getting a shifter, 3.73s, and a clutch soon. How much did your clutch job cost? Nevermind, you probably put it in yourself. I wish i could. Im looking into a king cobra clutch, my stock one is almost dead. Your car is what i hope mine to be like in a couple years, lol. Nice car.

I wish you were my neighbor. Haha, i could use some help with my installs. I want to do things to my car but i dont want to pay a freakin shop to do it. Im excited about my shifter, i can handle that lol. My gears and clutch tho, i wish i could have a buddy do it for me. I would screw something up if i tried to do it myself, i just dont have the experience, so shops here i come. Im looking at like $200 for a gear install, and ive heard about $250 for a clutch install. King cobra's run around $170 i think. I could save a lot if i could do this **** myself. You think i can drive out to you? lol that would be nice. Road trip...

sounds like a stock tsi. i have a 96 w/ td05-14b (1st gen) turbo and it gets up and goes pretty well. stock, they are not too great. the t-25 sucks on a 2.0L. good kill. they arent POS's...sometimes. they just require a lot of up keep.
