4x4 Runs
Went camping this weekend to NW OK....the land of wheat fields and long empty roads. OK, the contestents weren't exactly high performance vehicles but we had fun anyway. My buddy just bought an 08 Tacoma Ext cab 4x4 with a six speed and I have an 04 quad cab 4x4 Hemitruck with an auto and cold air. From a dig to 107 I pulled a couple of ummm truck lengths on him. Why 107 you ask......grrrr.....my limiter shut me down and he sailed right on by grinning like a butcher's dog. I was really surprised that I didn't put more lengths on him until you consider the weight differences
Not terribly exciting, but it was fun listening to the Hemi howl through theCAI

Was his the new 5.7 or the 4 liter? I've seen the new 5.7s dishing out some hurting on what the big three have to offer (Dodge, Chevy and Ford). If it was the newer 5.7 from Toyota kickass kill man.

No, it's a Tacoma.....so a 4.0 but lots smaller size and only 248hp, not a Tundra. Yes, those Tundras with 380+ ponies do run well but they are much larger than before.

Good kill anyhow
You should have done the key trick. If you hold the key all the way forward it overrides the speed limiter. I tried it on the 03 hemi I had and it works. Only downside is steering with 1 hand lol, unless you can get someone in the truck to do it for you. And no, it doesn't engage the starter.
