Judging by past results... WS6 has the advantage (Tune/CAI S197 cars are busting off 12.8~12.9 @ 107~108mph) and a LID only WS6 should easily pull that off... of course it really comes down to driver as I think it would be fairly close from a dig. From a roll or any high speed run the WS6 wins no problem.

My opinion :Neither car is making enough horsepower to destroy the other. Having that said, The driverin the GT needs to out launch the WS6...make the LS1 catch up. But if the WS6 launchesgood or keeps upwith the GT on the take off, the WS6 willbegin to walk the GT. The longer you guys race, the worse it will be.

IMO both cars are a high 12 tops with those mods....But thats my opinion

05+ gts struggle to get into the low 13's in stock form, whereas LS1's run it with relative ease. With the mods listed, Id say the gt could run a best 12.8 and the ls1 a 12.5 give or take a tenth. Im saying that the CARS can run these times, but the drvrs are needed to get them there.

My friend has a trans am ws6 and wants to race. I have a 08 mustang gt (manual). Who has the advantage? Would this be a drivers race?
His mods: off road xpipe, shifter, MAF, K&N filter, SLP air lid, TB.
My mods: C&L intake w/tune, off road xpipe, 3.73, spydershaft.

LS1 from a roll all day long. If you are both on stock tires, my ws6 DEAD hooks. The 05 and newer GT's i have played with spin almost 10' on the 1-2 shift just granny shifting. If my experience holds, He will hook up better, esp. with your gears. Unless you are on a tire.
