Where the LS1 F-bods are owning you from a roll is with their long gearing and powerband. They make hp up to 5500-5600rpm and they HOLD it until redline. Their tq is like a table-top as well. You will have to have more hp/weight than the LS1 to take it top-end due to the gearing and powerband.

Just my take on it.

 

The tune helps you guys a ton as does cai/full exhaust....... unfortunately it's the nature of small cubes vs big cubes...

got my money on the GT. When will you race? I wanna know the outcome. Those trans ams are fast almost raced one, He floored it before me and pulled a in high 3rd. With the 3:73's you should do well just take him on launch and your good to go.

 

Hopfully it will happen soon, but i was told the main shaft is broken in histransmission, i dont know much about transmissions so i really don't know what that is or how long its going take them to fix. If it takes toolong i will probably have my LTs... Hesdosent seem to think i have a chance and says he cant be beat by a mustang.

 

I def want the stang to win and based on driver skill, it could happen. IMHO the ws6 is a bit faster with the best drivers in both, Im not flaming anyone, just posting what Ive seen and read on various sites. I just think mod for mod, LS1's respond a bit better to them vs our 3v/4v stangs.

 

Call me biased --- But I would say the WS6.

If he slips upthen you win.

But from experience (stock vs stock)-- 05+ GTs aren't that close of a race for me.

Seems like they are both fairly equally equipped. So I would say he still has you.

Gears will help on the launch-- but by time you get to the end of 2nd gear he should be pulling away.

I will concede that it can be a drivers race. But IMO he doesn't have to bring his A+ Game to win- but probably his A game.

Race him from a dig.. if you hit about 80 and hes close to you, its going to get ugly real quick
