Going to the track this weekend with some friends. Its my first time goin to a drag strip, i was just wondering if there are any tutorial videos that you guys may know about, or any tips? thanks.

also if the track allows riders, ride with a buddy that has been before and watch how he does it.

Wait for the lights and floor it. Seriously take your time on the first couple runs get a feeling for the lights the track and your car. Once you feel comfortable run it as hard as you can.

Maybe drop the psi in the tires a bit and lose the spare?

Leave the line like you are leaving a light, but quicker. Also shift without putting your thumb on the stick. In other words, shift with your palm and 4 fingers. Use your 4 fingers to pull the stick down to 2nd and use your palm to push the stick up to 3rd. I've found this resolves all my missed shift problems. Shift as quickly as possible. Don't try to shift to 4th.

Ive got the shifting technique down. Ive been murdering 2nd gear lately, peeling out, not just chirping. 3rd isnt an issue either. the only thing im worried about it the launch aka the most important part
