my friends ls1 made 290 rwhp stock on a dyno,
and I have to admit I like ls1's and was going to by one.....lol,its just fun to talk mess about them because u guys freak out,And its funny thatmustang owner's Are very quick to talk bad aboutthere own car,and very quick to praise chevy

IT"S NOT A CLOSE RACE. I owned my lt1 for over 4 years... . this isn't an LS1 biased reply...it's an in your face reality check!
In order to match What tommys LS1 auto with 2.73s ran stock I had (and mind you i might leave a few things off because I've forgetten what all I had)...
All on street tires and 2.1 60fts...
1995 LT1 Auto 3.23s (Bone Stock)
Mods to run 13.6 @ 104mph
LT4KM
Ported LT1 heads (very lighted ported)

2200 stall

lol. You really think that that's what the LS1 makes? Some make that at the wheels completely stock. Most dyno between 305 and 325 at the wheels, without one modification done.
