You might not lose at all. The best he could hope for would be mid-13's, you are probably right about there.

If you run from a roll, you have no chance and you will be quite embarassed that you even tried. If you run from a dig, you have a great chance. For some reason, I guess the IRS, those cars have a terrible time hooking up.

Goats are dogs out of the hole. Take him from a dig.

I've seen three 04 m6's dyno two of them were bone stock and made 295 rwhp the other had a cat back and put down 300 rwhp. Factor in that they weigh something like 3800lbs and I think you have a good chance. GTO's are not fast at all even the 05's are dogs.

Mid 13's outta the factory for the LS1 GTO's. The LS2 GTO's should better that with their improved suspension and a measily 400hp.

motortrend rates the 06 at 13.2 in 1/4.
so i guess they are getting better as gm plays more w/ them

Yea, take the guy from a light or something. I know a guy that has the goat from the first year the new ones were put out...whenever that was...like 03 or 04 or something. But he has some bolt-ons and some appearnace work done to it and i stopped a mud hole in him off the line, but he pulled about 1 car on me off a roll.

I wasn't impressed with the 05's when I ran into one a couple of days ago. A friend and I were meeting up with some people for dinner and a cocky guy in an 05 GTO with paper tags decides he wants to play. My friend put his LS1 m6 Formula into 2nd at 45 the GTslow takes off and we quickly caught him and pulled 3 cars or more. GTO's are a sad excuse for a muscle car IMO, I think GM flopped on this one.

With my bolt ons and his inexperience I hope this will be to my advantage. Thanks for the input. I should have results early next week when he drives it to work.
