launching ?
whats a good rpm to launch from, i dont have a stall converter right now but i will when i have my new AOD installed in about a month. right now the way i launch is in N andrev it to about 2000rpms and slam it into 1st and go from there. wont if i leave it in D and rev it up my wheels start to spin and wont that kill me on the launch
Ahhhh, the neutral drop...are you ****ing kidding me.?!!! You have a shift kit right? Slip it into 1st. When you see the opposing traffic light turn amber slowly start powerbraking until right before your tires start to let go into a brakestand. You'll know when by feel. Hold it there and try to sychronize your launch with the green. Then simutaneously mash the gas and pop or slip your foot off the brake. Don't do what you're doing now anymore. The next one will probably have you dragging your tranny down the road like an anchor...

yea my transmission is F...ed up anyways, when im in OD and floored it sometimes feels like it not all the way in gear ( the rpms get real high and im not going as fast ) and it has done it once when it was in D. but im getting a PA street smart transmission package that is rated up to 450 HP and comes with a lifetime warranty for $2000. thats why i have been trying different ways for launching because i know this tranny will be done soon. and yes there is a TCI shift kit in it right now.
