i believe it is hold the brake as hard as you can and push on the gas up to a certain RPM.

the way you are launching it now is terrible for your tranny. I would launch from about 1500 and if the tires don't spin just go up from there

Ahhhh, the neutral drop...are you ****ing kidding me.?!!! You have a shift kit right? Slip it into 1st. When you see the opposing traffic light turn amber slowly start powerbraking until right before your tires start to let go into a brakestand. You'll know when by feel. Hold it there and try to sychronize your launch with the green. Then simutaneously mash the gas and pop or slip your foot off the brake. Don't do what you're doing now anymore. The next one will probably have you dragging your tranny down the road like an anchor...

I was at the 8th mile track not too long ago when one of my friends decided to run his blazer. He ran against an S10 and won and it got him all exicited. On his next run of few of my other friends rode with him. They told him to do a burnout to heat his tires a little and to look cool i guess cause it hooked fine the first run. So he puts it in neutral revs it and slams it in gear. At this time i'm standing about midways down the track and hear something. I look down at the start of the track only to see 3 people jump out of the blazer and start pushing it off the track. It turns out he needs a new trans and rearend. Nuetral drops are a bad idea.

Start saving $$$$ today for a new trans. Leave it in drive, stage the car with the left foot on the brake then apply the gas until you come up to 1500rmp. Launch by lifting off the break pedal and pushing down on the gas. Find what the highes rpm is that you can hold the car on the line. You will reach a point where the rear tires will spin and you won't be able to hold the car still. Anything under that point is where you can launch. Then start lowering the rmp launch number until you get the best 60'.

yea my transmission is F...ed up anyways, when im in OD and floored it sometimes feels like it not all the way in gear ( the rpms get real high and im not going as fast ) and it has done it once when it was in D. but im getting a PA street smart transmission package that is rated up to 450 HP and comes with a lifetime warranty for $2000. thats why i have been trying different ways for launching because i know this tranny will be done soon. and yes there is a TCI shift kit in it right now.
