His car was defientely not stock. Once I put the gears in and the tune I'll run him again. I had him up to third gear that's when he passed me. Do you guys think I should go with udp's or tb and plenium? Thanks

OP- Nice run. Sounds like an '07 up Z prolly. They sound mean stock, so he may have not had any mods. Either way, sounds like you had fun, and were cool about it.....
BTW- Gears and tune prolly still won't put you ahead of the '07+ Z's. The older ones for sure, though.....
And whoever said the new Z's put down 285whp- NO. It's more like 260-270whp.....

Yeah, I bet. That reminds me of how a few '04 model-year cars ended up over here at dealers had a NISMO tuned balanced/blueprinted VQ35 that were making in the neighborhood of 375hp. Supposedly, about 20 cars 'accidentally' got shipped off for retail sale and at least a few of them ended up here......

man you need to uncork the rest of the exhaust system. when i put headers and o/r prochamber on my 03 it really helped it in higher rpm power. also, with the 03(due to its .62 5th gear) youre safe with 4.10's. on the interstate at 65 your still at just a hair under 2k. so theres no loss of drivability.
