Took it like a man!
Going home today a bad a## 350 Z just happened to get beside at a red light. I mean this car is beautiful. It had dual exhuast and sounded really mean. We both take off slowly and then he hits it. I pull on him and my rear tire is at his door. He changes gears and pulls on me hard and I am at his rear bumper. Just by the way his car sounded I know that it wasn't stock. Are those cars that fast? Once I install my gears (3:73) and Brenspeed tune will I stand a better chance?
Wow, saw that title and though you were about to tell a prison sex story.[8D]An 07 should outrun your new edge. Earlier model 350Zs should be a drivers race with maybe a slight edge to the mustang stock Vs. Stock.

the new Z's put down about 285rwhp, or basically what the old ones put out at the crank. they are VERY quick. and personally, i think they have the best V6 sound this side of the Grand National

When I add 3:73 gears and a tune will I be able to run the newer 350 Z's.

Well so far I have Flowmaster catback exhuast, o/r h-pipe, K&N CAI and a intake spacer. Like I said in my earlier posts I will be adding 3:73 gears with a Bresnpeed tune. I was aslo thinking about adding Steeda udp's or a bbk tb with plenium. Which would be the best mod?
Nice run though. Sounded like fun.
As for mods I'd get an aluminum flywheel with a aluminum driveshaft when you do your gears. Plus If your doing gears atleast do 3.90's. Then you'll still have driveability on the highway. I'm going 4.30's myself
. As someone else mentioned I'd go with the tb/plenum setup, but to add to that I'd add a new intake manifold If I were you. Do things right the first time and you won't run into this problem again
