HE DUN RUN A CTS-V WITH TRAC CONTRUL ON! AND HE BEAT IT BY 3 CARS, AND THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH A BAD DRIVER IN THE CTS-V!!!!

DIDN'T YOU KNOW THE R/T IS WHAT TELLS IF YOU ARE A GOOD DRIVER, NOT SHIFTING/SHIFT POINTS ETC?!?!

A GT with some exhaust, a chip and a CAI will not have enough power to run a low 13. Those BBK springs aren't going to help either. I'd like to see the claims of a stock Gt running a 13.7.

I personally know of a stock 99 Auto GT going 13.9 @ 101mph on a 1.9 60ft....13.7 from a manual GT has happened. (Ive done the digging myself)...

Of course there is proof of stock LT1 cars going 13.3 ~ 13.6 but they are EXTREMES and not typical by any means.

I don't think you'd even need nitrous to win. 01Snake said that the OP only ran a 13.1. An LS1 with a lid and catback would be around there. If you're on the juice, you'd have him easily.
Then he must not be too good at driving! I can name a few New Edge GT's on this site (a few of which are actually 03's) that are already running about a 13.1 with just bolt ons. Not even cams or anything, just bolt ons. Add a supercharger and a decent driver should easily be running low 12's, if not better!

Not only that, but I'm betting my GT is around a low 13 with some of the cars I've beat. But being I've never been able to run my GT at the track yet, I can't exactly make that claim.

Edit.....Or the time could be from ****ty tires. All the power in the world means nothing if the tires can't hook!
An '03 GT Convertable with exhaust, intake, and a "chip" is nowhere near a low 13. Run it at the track and show me some slips. I bet you run a high 13. Even on DR's, your car may pull a mid 13. If your car is a low 13 second car, then I'm running 12's with my LT1 having exhaust and intake. You're going to need gears to get your car to run a low 13.
We'll see about that! I guess the aluminum flwheel, full length subframe connectors, strut tower brace, and springs don't count for anything then huh! Being that a select few new edge's have seen a 13.7 stock, and average is about 14.0, I should be doing mid to low 13's.

I raced a new CTS-V and had him by 3 cars. I raced him 3 times from a dig WITH TC ON! With it off the length would have been worse. They run low 13 to 13.6 stock. Who knows if this guy was stock. I also ran against a fellow stang that runs mid 12's with nitrous, and I was a half car behind him without the nitrous. So that should put me at right around the numbers I've said.

As I've said before I've had 0.00 RT's at the track (and at my track that's perfect). So I'd like to think of myself as a good driver if I'm one of the only people I know to hit those numbers. I think it will take me 1 or 2 times to the track to get used to the stang since I'm used to launching with my truck at the track. But after a few runs, I bet I'll be running some pretty impressive times.

LT1's are a drivers race for a new edge, so I don't see where you think your running 12's with an exhaust and intake. I know you're trying to be sarcastic, but the difference is the claim I posted is entirely possible, whereas your sarcastic comment is not! Quit being a chevy fanboy! It's not my fault your catfish can't keep up with a 4.6 V8

i hang 1 car back from a 11 sec h/c/i geared ls1 on the roll and my car runs 14's. Take it to the track and see what you run, until then its just speculation.

To me talking about EXTREMEs doesn't help for anything.

They are there, yes, but people that hear about them think that just because it happened somewhere else means that it MUST happen to them.

Nevermind perfect track conditions, a cool day, perfect driving, and some luck.

I say this because some people hear that say their car was tested by someone else somewhere else and it ran a best of XX.XXX...so they automatically think that they can run it as well, and when they don't they get mad and start flinging **** everywhere. [&:]

That wasn't directed at you, my bad.

Just can't see how a 275ish crank hp car can beat a 400 hp car when the weight difference isn't that great and the heavier car has a 6 speed to play with instead of a 5 speed.

I am also confused about this thread. If a New Edge with a Supercharger and Bolton can run mid 12's, then I should be running high 11's on my Falkens. That ain't happening though. 3V>2V, so I don't see how a car with less HP then a 400HP car, whipping it's ***. a CTS-V is 0-60 in less then 5 Seconds, more or less an S197 time, and runs pretty low 13's. It sounds like he beat the driver, not the car. Equal drivers, a 400HP car, with not much of a weight difference, will beat the hell out of a modded New Edge. My .02

Jeez, what does your car trap at? I assume you get a really bad 60ft do to fwd?

108 on and off the throttle 2.4 60's. Don't ask me why i hung but i did. Short race only 40-100 but i was a car back, dig to 100 was 2 cars morbid shot the video of the dig.
