Challenger SRT8
My average in the Z06 is approx 20 mpg. That's 70% highway driving and 30% mashing the crap out of it around town. I've reset the average and done long highway trips, but never saw better than 26 or so. You have to drive at 60 mph and never leave 6th to see any higher and I just can't do that.
The STI gets 17-18 mpg under the exact same driving conditions. Even stock, it was no better than 19-20 mpg.

the turbo 4s never seem to get good mileage..my dsm gets crappy mileage, due partially to the fact that its very rich...but the srt4 and evo guys i know seldom get near 20.

Dodge really needs to jump on the aftermarket bandwagon like Ford has. It would really suck if you bought a Challenger and could never buy a supercharger or turbo for it.

I'd buy one... if it had reasonable pricing and a manual.
I wonder what the R/T with a manual is going to go for, if it comes out in 09.
Then we also have the camaro... and most likely also know what the facelift stang will look like. And hell... I might even drive a smart by then...

justice, the popular rumors suggest that the RT challenger will be in the same ballpark as the rt chargers...so, low/mid 30s? maybe a little less...as the srt challenger is slightly cheaper than the other srt8 sedans.
moose, ive seen a few of the boosted "hemi" cars run without incident...the problem is that the yuppies who drive the cars rarely know what to look or listen for, and they blow the car up before they are able to limp it from their PTA meeting back to the mechanic who does every bit of work to it...

I'd never own a boosted car without a top notch a/f guage like the Dynojet Wideband Commander. It blows my mind how many people s/c their car and the first guage they put in is the "wow" boost guage. A/F is so much more important. I used to hook up my laptop and do runs on a weekly basis just to make sure it was holding a safe a/f ratio when I was at wot.
