lol.. I would have to agree that the Hemi crowd is obnoxious sometimes. But then, I saw a blown 70 Hemi Cuda rip a brand spankin new Ford GT a new a**hole too.. lol Guy then did the same thing to a 600 RWHP Porsche GT2.. lol Chrysler/Dodge might not be the originators, but I've yet to see a stock motor, aside from perhaps the friggin monster V-16 in the Veyron, that puts out 800+ HP. Hey don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of ford big blocks.. My Dad has a 74 Grand Torino, but really, has ford EVER put out an engine that can produce that kind of power? Only one I can think that even comes close is the 429 Super-Cobra Jet with the drag pack, but then I've been known to brain-fart from time to time.. lol

Dodge may not be the creator but they are the innovator.
They deserve credit
If they put that engine in a car withrespectable weight, the Hemis would rule the streets again.

if it has anything to do with creating a new concept in the design they diddn't innovate anything.... they just trademarked a name that people made a big deal about, that's it
LOL.. The SRT-8 300C's aren't that bad.. at least they look better than the new chargers.. [:'(][:'(] My GF talked me into test driving one of the SRT-8 chargers when I was home on leave, and they do have some slightly better than decent pick up to them, but they still handle like a friggin boat on wheels.. Might as well put the same engine in a 78 Galaxy 500 for chrissakes for all the good it did.. Only friggin mopar could take a legend like the Dodge charger of the 60's and 70's and turn into a friggin cigarette carton on wheels like that. It seriously looks like a two year old with those little plastic scissors folded a piece of paper up, cut out a few holes and came up with that design..
^ Not to ba an ***, but I'd take an SRT8's handling to an S197 GT's any day of the week. I think SRT8 cars handle pretty damn well, and I usually drive nimble, built-for-cornering kind of cars. Meh, to each their own, I guess.....
