The 350Z shares the 3.5l VQ engine with the Altama, Maxima, G35 coupe & sedan, and the V6 versions of Nissans AND Infiniti’s SUVs. NO Toyota car uses this engine.
Also the fact that all these cars use this engine says something about it. Basically that being that it an awesome engine that is very flexible in every regard.
On a side note, dynos of the G35, 350Z and maxima have shows a much smaller difference in HP between the different platforms. Meaning Nissan is way under rating the horse power for the "lower" models. They are all making HP closer to the 300 mark then the 250.

I wasnt trashing that it was a van engine, its jsut a fun fact that many people might not know. It shows how flexiable these engines are made, and can be used for numerous applications

...this is before the eibach pro kit ill get new pics up soon...(by the way my friend has a 04 g35 with exhaust, intake and a stage 2 supercharger...i beat him last night in a drag race... i thot he'd take me but we were both surprised, after he finally got the *****, we finally ran last night...it was by about 1/2 a car length...i was soo0oo stoked)

turbo w/exhaust 350 z i saw at in and out at about 830 tonight... i revved up hard with my buddy in the car, and he hopped in his car and came after me alone...i got a light with him and i told him i had the perfect place to race...1/2 mile of open road no lights or cops...so he followed me (he was about 30(arabian)) it was a beautiful dropped 350z blue, body kit, and carbon fiber everything... his blow off valve was loud as hell so i knew he was turbo'd... so i thot hed take me...we got there (about a 10 min drive) and we did a 2nd gear roll at 3000rpm...i beat him by about 1/2 a car length and i was stoked...he said oooohhh lets go again....so we turned around and completely stopped with a wide open straight 1/4 mile ahead of us...my friend in my car counted to 3 and we took off... surprisingly i smooked him with the extra weight of my 250lb fat *** persain friend...i beat him off the line and had him by a little over 1 car lentgh the whole way untill we slowed down at like 115...i was so surprised it was awesome...he had no chance...i thot id get beat but the mach dooominated...i told him he had a nice car and to take care... ahhaha but but he just drove away cuz he was ssoooo pissd and surprised that he lost......hahhahaha another import owned...
