Nice build man!! I remember what it was like watching a project of that magnitude happen... in some ways I miss it and in a lot of ways I do not! I'm sure you'll dial in those good times though. As far as weight reduction, how heavy are the stock seats? You may want to consider lightweight CF Recaros or Corbeaus or something similar.
Awesome pics and thats an awesome build you're doing. Did you have it planned the whole time when you bought your v6 to swap in a GT500 motor with a turbo, or was it something you thought about after awhile? I wish I had a more rewarding job that paid better, then maybe I'd be building a beast of my own.
He first had a V6turbo project on the stock internals. Blew the engine with nitrous and high boost. But he did run low low low 11's w/the car. Now he's doing the motor swap with a turbo.
sounds alot like what i am doing. just my turbos a bit bigger. what trans are you going with? auto manual?
It is the Lentech Strip Terminator 4r70 rated at 1500hp. I thought about just going manual valve body, but for the sake of consistency at the track went electronic. Going with the Precision 3200 stall and a transbrake. This trans should allow me to scale up as I grow into the power and if I decide later to put a 'chute on it won't need to address anything for the trans.

Thanks. As far as planning for it, no I didn't walk into this car with the swap in mind back in '06. Originally went into it with the thought of creating my own Ford version of a Grand National, which is one of my favorite cars. I wanted a sleeper type car rolling on a v6 that would open eyes. Wound up going high 11's on all turbo (which I think the 4.0 can do very reliably), then added a 75 shot on 13lbs of boost and ran 11.02 @ 126. After the motor blew at FFW Norwalk, I knew that I wanted to go faster, so had to bite the bullet and convert to the v8, so I bypassed the 4.6 3v (great engine) and went with the GT500 engine, but still keeping the v6 body.
Some updates...Turbo system is complete, intake is fabbed and just waiting to tie up a few loose ends then will polish the whole thing. Resevoir tank is being fabbed now and will be situated at the stock battery location. ETA is less than 2 weeks now.

Man I'm so looking forward to reading about your track times. That is one insane build.
