Default engine progress

Hopefully this doesn't get moved as this is about the only section I post in, and has bearing on future strip times!
Got the Lentech trans and GT500 engine shoehorned in now. Went with a Precision 3200 stall, still have to put the transbrake in as well. The trans is rated from Lentech at up to 1500hp, so I am hoping to have no trans issues for a good long time.
Still have to fab up the intake and the 70mm turbo kit, but we are shooting for a late March arrival at a track in Ohio.
This year I will still have issues as I have to deal with traction, suspension, bracing and cage, but realistically shooting for mid-low 10's after I get the cage and wheels on. My goal for 09 is to start really pursuing ET's into the 9's and getting after it.

Good luck with those 9 second passes. If that beast ever gets up to Cecil give me a shout so I can come out and watch you hurt some feelings.

Will do. I should be heading out with the car to Philly late spring/early summer so will keep an eye on Cecil's schedule.
Doing little things in this build like the CHE radiator support brackets and such to try to lighten up the car a bit as well.
Steeda underdrive pulley arrived as well as the Moser axles and a few misc. parts.
I am running upto PowerHouseagain next week so hoping even more progress is made.
Greg Weld is supposed to be coming out with 15's that don't require modifications to fit on these S197's. If that works out I will be snagging those up asap as they are about 1/3 the cost of Bogarts. Would like to run 325's in the back.
Going with the Precision pt70 should be a good balance as my ultimate goal was street/strip. Nothing worse than having it be a dog on the street with an oversized turbo.
I just want to be able to drive it to the track, rip off times and be able to drive it back home!

This would be great! Those bogarts are damn expensive and I really don't want to have to buy a piece to make a wheel fit on my car.

Yes That was actually Firestang messing with it...I was too busy guarding my car from the guys we met up there.

To answer your earlier question, the car will not be stripped down. It's a street car first, so all stereo components, a/c and factory seating are staying in. About the only thing left to do for weight for me is to keep fingers crossed that the Greg Weld wheels for the S197 are the real deal, otherwise will have to break down and pick up Bogarts next winter.
