I wonder if he had a stock S/C since it was whining so loud?

Dunno, the only thing I know for sure that was aftermarket was the exhaust, but what kind? Who knows could have been flowmasters thrown in, the exhaust was pretty damn loud (louder than mine) and the supercharger whine was louder still (I could hear it very clearly when he first hit it).

MrRogers lol @ the image, though it's missing it's usual gay thread reference text that is usually embedded in it. I ran a C6Z06 on the I95 the other day as well, one never really appreciates how fast those cars are until you get stomped on like you're driving a Toyota prius, I might as well have been in reverse with the way he ran away.
Ha - I love doing that to people. I had some dude in a BMW 335 riding my *** on the highway. He got real tiny, real quick. It took him forever to do the flyby....like 3 miles down the highway

lol, he was riding my *** (I was doing 80 in a 55) and he pulled next to me and I had already seen the hood he smiled and held 3 fingers up, I just laughed because why would he even waste his time on my car. But I did it anyhow, I killed it @ 140 and he was so far ahead it was a complete joke lol, but it was fun.

One has to take what he gets, even if it's an *** whoopin'.

I never challenge people at highway speeds. That's just obnoxious. Not too many cars that are going to hang with a Z06 from a highway roll.

Good job for trying though. When he held up 3, I would have held up 1.

Back to topic - when I had my Mustang tuned in PA, the shop owner took me to lunch in his pullied Lightning. It was real fun for a truck. Great seat of the pants feel and the whine was wicked.

lmao

The next mods going into my car are the HHP stage 2 heads and cam and my Kooks LTs I have sitting in the garage, so maybe I'll be able to hang just a little bit better with the Z06 next time (it'll still be a good *** whooping, but not as bad).

I remember hearing / reading that there was talk about bringing the Lightnings back, anyone know if this is true?

Should be mid 11s, and even lower with the 125 shot I will be throwing in as well, still a bit off from Z06 territory but good enough for me. I'll probably destroy my half shafts though unless I keep the F1s on instead of throwing DRs on, so new half shafts are next on the mod list.

LOL.. OP if it's the one I'm thinking of I think I know the truck.. Was it a black 04 lightning with the little flowmaster logo right underneath the Lightning logo on the back gate? I ask because I lived in Newport News for 4 1/2 yrs, as Dam Neck was my last duty station on active duty and I stayed there as a contractor after I got out. I commuted through the HRBT everyday soI'm very famliar with the Hampton area.. ;-)

If you ever saw an azure blue mach driving like a bat out of hell on 264 it was probably me. LOL There's another blue 03 one, but that guy works up on Langley I think.. Ok ok, back on topic, sorry for the brief hi-jack..

Never saw the back of the truck, though it was black and seemed 'newer' than the others I have seen around the area. I've seen the (or 'a') Blue 03 Mach1 around LAFB (in fact thats the one that thought I had a V6 with brembos, over @ the WalMart in Yorktown, he was there with a bunch of other Mustangs an an older SN95 V6 with '12SECV6' for his license plate.)

I probably did run into you out on the 264 before, though it was probably when I had my Diesel (2007 White Chevy). When did you leave the area? (Got the SRT8 back in October).

Ahhh.. There was one black 04 lightning that belonged to somebody that lived in my apt complex though I never found out who's it was. As far as blue mach's the only one's I'd ever seen were that guy that works over on LAFB, and there used to be a mechanic at Hall Ford in Newport News that had one, but he sold his and bought the GT500..

LMAO... I've seen an idiot with I believe it was either a crimson or deep red colored SN95 sixxer that had a plate like that. The guy tried to run me from a 30 roll going down Jefferson Ave and I toasted him by 5 lengths just betweenHogan St.and Victory Blvd.. lol.. (for those that don't know it's only about 200-250 yards between the two..)

The coolest one I've seen though was the K/B'd Saleen with the "DZZNUTZ" license plate.. hehehe.. I think he lives up in Gloucester though..

I left the area in late June last year, so you probably had the diesel.. lol ;-) Though I was back for about a week on leave in early Feb picking up the car from DTP in Chesapeake.. They did my mods..
