LOL.. OP if it's the one I'm thinking of I think I know the truck.. Was it a black 04 lightning with the little flowmaster logo right underneath the Lightning logo on the back gate? I ask because I lived in Newport News for 4 1/2 yrs, as Dam Neck was my last duty station on active duty and I stayed there as a contractor after I got out. I commuted through the HRBT everyday so I'm very famliar with the Hampton area.. ;-)

If you ever saw an azure blue mach driving like a bat out of hell on 264 it was probably me. LOL There's another blue 03 one, but that guy works up on Langley I think.. Ok ok, back on topic, sorry for the brief hi-jack..

Never saw the back of the truck, though it was black and seemed 'newer' than the others I have seen around the area. I've seen the (or 'a') Blue 03 Mach1 around LAFB (in fact thats the one that thought I had a V6 with brembos, over @ the WalMart in Yorktown, he was there with a bunch of other Mustangs an an older SN95 V6 with '12SECV6' for his license plate.)

I probably did run into you out on the 264 before, though it was probably when I had my Diesel (2007 White Chevy). When did you leave the area? (Got the SRT8 back in October).
Ahhh.. There was one black 04 lightning that belonged to somebody that lived in my apt complex though I never found out who's it was. As far as blue mach's the only one's I'd ever seen were that guy that works over on LAFB, and there used to be a mechanic at Hall Ford in Newport News that had one, but he sold his and bought the GT500..

LMAO... I've seen an idiot with I believe it was either a crimson or deep red colored SN95 sixxer that had a plate like that. The guy tried to run me from a 30 roll going down Jefferson Ave and I toasted him by 5 lengths just between Hogan St. and Victory Blvd.. lol.. (for those that don't know it's only about 200-250 yards between the two..)

The coolest one I've seen though was the K/B'd Saleen with the "DZZNUTZ" license plate.. hehehe.. I think he lives up in Gloucester though..

I left the area in late June last year, so you probably had the diesel.. lol ;-) Though I was back for about a week on leave in early Feb picking up the car from DTP in Chesapeake.. They did my mods..

lmfao that's the one, it was a red color. Kid came out of the parking lot same time I did and I followed him onto J Clyde (or Jefferson, I have been here since 2001 and I still mix the two up, the one with Casey Cycle City on it) and tried to get him to run but he didn't even try. Oh well. So I suppose his plate is BS or did you run him with the mods? He seemed a bit cocky with his Mach1 buddy, which is why I tried to get him to run. Oh well. Sucks You left man, been trying to meet up with more people around the area. The people I do meet end up being asshats and all tied up in the fanboy crap.

I have seen that guy. He tried running me on military highway down towards the airport. I have seen a few lightnings all driven by older guys, seems like they always want to run. Good kill BTW. I just changed duty stations from damn neck to norfolk.

I wonder if he had a stock S/C since it was whining so loud?
I raced a few stock Cobras and I think most think that whine is really louder than it really is just because their not used to hearing it. I know I never get tired of hearing it.

I have not got sick of hearing my super charger whine yet

LOL.. The only mods I had at the time were the headers, cat'd H and exhaust.. LOL That's the pathetic part.. He definitely wasn't a 12sec car unless he was on the spray and just didn't use it for some reason.. [>:] And it's J Clyde Morris that has the Casey Cycle City I believe.. It's not too far from the intersection with Jefferson though if I remember right. You're telling me.. I wouldn't mind being back in Va Beach right now to tell you the truth, but I'm not sure I wanna go back there.. waaayyy expensive to have anything even approaching a house in that town.. That's why I was considering moving back to TX provided I can find a good job when I'm done here. I DO still have a lot of my stuff in storage so I'll probably be coming back, but I probably won't have the mach with me when I do, because that's in Texas at my dad's place while I'm deployed.

And yeahhh, there's a lot of fanboy BS up there.. You ought to see the guys that meet up in the parking lot behind the Walmart right near I-64 on Jefferson every saturday night.. There used to be a whole group of em, ricers included that would start out there and then do a bunch of roll races all the way down to the beach on the weekends..

Ok, Ok, back on topic.. lol I would hope SVT does bring back the lightning, those were certainly kick-*** trucks.. I still wouldn't mind have a lightning even now.. I would say as trucks go for me, it'd be between the 03/04 lightning and the SRT-10 Ram.. I could've gotten into an SRT-10 for 34k at the Dodge dealership on Jefferson, but I couldn't afford the payments at the time.. [&o]
