Now, some of you claim they can run 11's bone stock, but, how does a GT500, with more power, and similar torque, and a tad less weight, with live axle, better tires, not run 11's and trap 120? Just curious....Thanks guys!

Centri blowers perform very similar to turbos in the upper RPMs from what I understand. I was always told that they were basically just turbos powered by the crank instead of exhaust. In the upper RPMs an centri powered car will walk away from a roots or even a twin screw depending on how close the power levels are.
^ I love this guy!!!!!!
Yes, Centri's are Turbo's, with a belt, that is basically it. A Belt-driven turbo. Up top- I pull from a few things. However, with Twin Screws and Roots, since they are instant boost, they will jump in most cases, but once I hit 3500 RPm or so, I will start to reel them in, and most likely pass them. This being it is not a Z06 or a Ford GT or something. Cars with similar power to me, even a bit more, and what not.

Yeah centri blown cars do pull uptop but I suggest you get a ride in a roots / twinscrew style blown car, it will change your opinion on this!
if two of the same cars both make the same peak power, with the same boost levels and one has twin screw, and one has a centri, the twin screw will always win. the centri wont pull the twin screw car in, its just going to start behind, and stay there pretty much throughout the race.
now at the track where you can launch at a higher rpm, thats different. im talkin from a dead stop idle launch

not trying to bash you but you have "NO" clue on roots style blowers or twinscrews. I don't blame you but a lot of people underestimates roots / twinscrewstyle blowers when it comes to top end just because centri blowers makes power even after 6k RPM.

I've seen the old "a centri is better for the track and the roots/screw is better for the street" addage before.
I had a centri on my GT and by biggest bitch is that I had to mash the gas and rev up the engine to get power. Look where all my power was:

As far as it being a belt driven turbo, I don't know. My STI makes peak torque and power much lower in the RPM range, but that could just be a function of the rather small turbo on a 4 cyl engine.
I have only been in one roots style blown vehicle and that was a Lightning. That was pretty cool. I'd love to go for a ride in an 03/04 Cobra.
