2010-2011, Mustang will have a 6.2L SOHC V8 with 400+ HP as an option along with the standard 4.0 V6 and 4.6 V8
Thanks to siggy14 for the pics.
its just a rumor and even if its true it isnt a mustang gt...its one of fords svt cars...maybe a boss...if you read further they do say the gt will remain the same...as for the srt8....that car isnt the mustang killer they like to pretend it is...i once raced one EVEN BEFORE IGOT MY GEARS and **** and we were neck and neck in the quarter bone stock...he started to pull away after a while but definitely wasnt as awe inspiring as they like to hype it

look for the challenger srt8 to leave you on the highway but do not fear it at a stoplight

i wouldnt fear it on either stoplight nor highway, the 4140lb weight will hurt

From a stoplight yah, I wouldn't fear it either, but on a highway it won't be THAT far off.. It's got the power to make up for the weight difference once it gets that titanic a$$ moving, so that won't hurt it as much as the aero would at 90-100+ methinks..

The Challenger will need a LSD if it is going to hang with any Mustang GTs, especially since most GTs are modded by now!
Otherwise, it's just going to spin that single tire into oblivion!

those pictures where it looks like the challenger is only spinning one wheel is a photoshop...before they released the car, they released those photos, and theyre "enhanced". if you look on the dodge webpage, LSD is standard on the current models.

as for who should be concerned about losing to one, and where...if youre soundly in the 12s, it should take a good bit of driving for the challenger to beat you, but it will be possible..people have gotten charger srt8s into the 12s stock, but most of them are in the 13.1 range...however, 13.1 should be pretty sound versus most stock mustangs, with the exception of gt500s, terminators, special models..etc..
