Default Track Results

1st time at the track with my 06 GT

Mods: Steeda CAI/93 Octane Tune/UDPs, FRPP 4.10s, 275/40/17 M/T ET streets, 5 speed manual

1st Race vs. Cobalt SS

Reaction 1.80 - 0.75
60 ft 2.06 - 2.47
1/8 8.82 - 10.18
MPH 82.43 - 67.95
1/4 13.55 - 15.71
MPH 104.9 - 91.2
WIN 1.10 secs - These things have a SC?

2nd Race vs. Civic Hatch
Some riced up thing, with sideways ballcap driver, I really wanted to destroy it

Reaction0.45 - 0.76
60 ft1.96 - 2.54
1/8 8.70 - 9.67
MPH 82.43 - 67.95
1/4 13.55 - 14.67
MPH 105.36 - 99.04
WIN 1.55 secs, but redlight so techically lost, but it was a test n' tune. He must have had an engine swap. I still got my wish.

3rdRace vs. SRT-4
Knew this guy had a bit more power, saw 107 mph traps earlier. I still thought I could take him with a hard launch but ended up over compensating and spun like a madman off the line. Botched lauch and reaction.

Reaction1.35 - 0.92
60 ft2.24 - 2.11
1/8 8.99 - 8.78
MPH 82.55 - 84.74
1/4 13.73 - 13.41
MPH 105.11 - 107.66
Lose 0.75 secs

4thRace vs. RHD Toyota, looked like a Lexus, riding on 20s. I knew this would be a cake walk. Botched the launch again, too much wheelspin

Reaction0.45 - 0.95
60 ft2.25 - 2.40
1/8 8.99 - 9.73
MPH 82.42 - 76.64
1/4 13.71 - 14.82
MPH 105.43 - 97.56
WIN 1.60 secs

5thRace vs. Chevy Malibu drag car
Apples and oranges

Reaction0.98 - 1.05
60 ft2.10 - 1.55
1/88.84 - 6.65
MPH 82.71 - 106.42
1/4 13.54 - 10.32
MPH 105.84 - 133.54
Lose 3.15 secs

6thRace vs. Turbo Civic Hatch w/ gutted interior
Bring-bring-bring-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding went the civic

Reaction0.65 - Foul
60 ft1.99 - 2.89
1/8 8.67 - 10.02
MPH83.03 - 71.41
1/413.37 - 14.80
MPH 105.82 - 114.22
WIN 0.7737 - Clearly more powerful than me, terrible driver. 2.89 60 ft? Men on foot can beat that.

7thRace vs. Hyundai Accent
Nothing much to say

Reaction0.99 - 0.87
60 ft1.92 - 2.79
1/8 8.67 - 11.92
MPH 82.28 - 60.24
1/4 13.40 - 18.22
MPH 105.42- 79.34
WIN 4.7 secs

8thRace vs. Turbo Integra
Kept reving at me in the staging lanes, had to kill it

Reaction0.63 - 0.57
60 ft1.90 - 2.19
1/8 8.62 - 9.03
MPH 82.40 - 81.39
1/4 13.52 - 13.85
MPH102.26 - 103.26
WIN 0.26 secs. Best launch of the day and I missed the 3-4 shift. [&:]Still won

9th Race vs. Cavalier with NOS (early 90s)

Reaction1.49 - 0.82
60 ft1.97 - 2.34
1/8 8.69 - 10.15
MPH 82.73 - 69.64
1/4 13.41 - 15.80
MPH 105.66 - 87.41
WIN 1.72 secs

Had a cowl induction hood that looked like it was made of paper-machet. I think I could have hit 13.2x in the 8th race without missing a shift.

Overall about 3 sport compacts for every domestic at this event. Was one other S197 running 12.2@115, must have been spraying because I did not hear a whine. Did not get a chance to talk to him.

Still have an aluminum DS sitting on my basement floor. Next time that plus BAMA 93 tune and hopefully nearing 12s in a mild mustang

Nice pretty consistant times. With those 4.10's and M/T's you should be nailing 1.7-1.8 60' though. Just takes a bit more practice.

Winnipeg, Manitoba. Track is at Gimli, one hour north. Winnipeg is a very import-oriented city with the young people. Of the street cars that showed up, sport compacts dominated the list. There was one 5.0 Mustang, S197and an a LS1 F-body running 12s, and one new edge bullit running 14.1. I would have had more runs but rain shut the track down for over an hour. In past I have had 14 runs in one day.

The turbo civic in the 6th race was a H22 swap into a hatch with no interior. With another driver it ran 12.5@115.

It was 5 spd manual. Couple times I launched at high rpm (5000 rpm)I spun easily, although I'm not sure they were hot enough. This was my first time using them, so I'm sure I could do better. I had 22 psi. Open to pointers.

Try dropping the air pressure. that should help a little.
