Listen, BB, I have no idea as to whether you were being sarcastic or not so...I'm just gonna keep my mouth shut. I'm fully aware of what the WS6 package is (a badge fancy hood and a shifter) and what it is not. I've driven plenty of stock WS6 cars, Formulas, Firehawks, and Trans Ams. They're all the same.

 

Im laughing...........the new GTR is one of the most technologically advanced cars in the world. You guys act as if it will be cruising around with a coat of poop on the paint!!! And somebody said, "They turned on the launch control which voids the warranty!!!" [sm=WTFsgign.gif]Alot of people who buy these cars arent going to give a rats *** about that.........in fact, many will end up doing what alot of owners in Japan do = build them up so that nobody can touch them. Some people just hate on Skylines because they are legendary which makes no sense to me at all.
Id love to be the uber dork running around the local strip crushing most everything in sight thanks...........

You seam more impressed with all it's buttons and computer programs that it's performance.For all the GT-Rs technology it was simply destroyed by a Viper using old school tech like big horspower and a well set-up suspension.

 

LOL.....the SPEC-V prototype is already knocking down leisurely 7.25 runs at the 'Ring its first time out.
HAvent even seen the 100K+ Dodge on the list yet???

The simple fact that turning off launch control voids the warranty is a joke. And we get it, you used to own a badass altima and you're leg humping nissan because they made a 90K dollar car that runs 12.6 in the 1/4 and handles amazing on a track that is halfway around the world.

Sounds like a nerd car is right up your alley. It's ugly as hell to boot. Legendary? That's laughable. There are certain cars that almost everyone has heard of, even those who aren't into cars in the first place. Skylines are not one of them.

 

And when you are the proud owner of one, you can dryhump it till the cows come home. This thread's purpose is real simple: the GT-R got outperformed by the Viper and Porsche in every test that C+D teams put it thru, yet they gave it first place because it was more "user friendly and techy".And all I hear in defense of the Nissan's performance is that it got amazing times on the 'Ring.

Funny too, cuz before the numbers from mags and testers became concrete, all the fanboys were touting the GT-R as the car to end all cars. Now that it has been shown to be mortal, and can be beaten by other cars in its own class..........all I hear about is how AWESOME the V-Spec is gonna be and how its gonna PWN all! Funny, cuz I seem to recall that the standard GT-R was supposed to do that.

 

Funny how it can beateverything around the the ring with a rolling start and shoddy timing equipment but cant win a straight up race at buttonwillow when theres someone besides factory spokemen there to witness it..[8D]
