I think you mod these cars and the outcome is still the same. The viper and the Vette will simply trounce the other cars. A Hennessy viper will put 1400 to the wheels and a lingenfelter Corvette was trapping 136 thru the 1/4 last test I read. Throw more boost at the GT-R and see how the PCM and the all wheel drive system like it[:@]Of course someone will figure out how to do it. I'm not even sayingthe GT-Rnot an amazing car but theres no replacement for displacement. You can do what ever you want to the Viper ACR because there getting it done old school. Lots of cubes in the engine bay. Super sticky tires. A huge wing for downforce. And probably the most important of all an awesome suspension set-up minus all the electronic nannys.

Mishri has a GT-R poster up in his room. Don't listen to anything he says. He's a closet Nissan fanboi.

Well said. I just happen to think more of the GTR than most on here. Considering it's the first time they threw their hat into the ring with the big dogs, I think Nissan did a pretty good job. I also feel for the money it's an awesome buy if you can get one. The Japanese as much as anyone don't like to be outdone. Don't be surprisedwhen the next ofeering of the GTR acomplishes what I think it should. I'm sure it's quartered in the 11's too BTW. I agree 100% that the Viper is the king of the hill barring the ZR1 right now.

Well Blue, just know that if you ever pull up next to a GTR in a new viper that you will dogstomp it in everyway and be happy.Like everybody said C&D has their favorites and they will always find a reason to pick them, kinda like top gear dissing the Z06 for poor fuel economy and having too harsh a ride for a DD.

Well at thedrag stripI like my chances against them. My 11.79 best puts me right in the thick of things. I'm currently reworking my suspension so I wont get totally destroyed in the twisties. i just installed stiffer sway bars and the hotchkis progressive rate lowering springs showed up in the mailyesterday. I would have liked to have done coil overs again but there pricey as hell[:@]. I already have solid motor and tranny mounts along with front and rear strut bars. So hopefully I'll to at least be able to keep a GT-R in sight.

I'd love to see you run against one of the new GTRs at the track, and the look on the guy's face when a skittle hands him his ***.

Yet when I talk about beating terminators in my buddies notch, I get "yeah, well take your tin can and beat it, I have leather and a/c". Anything can beat anything on any given day. Don't be surprised and act like a gentlemen in defeat is my motto. A skittle and a GTR shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath where gloating is concerned. The look on respective faces goes beyond the 1/4. Modded/non modded has been done to death around here...
