is this guy crazy
Which cam is he claiming to have?
My little cousin has a 93 Fox with an E-Cam, and no other mods other than 3.73s and mid-lengths...in other words, it's possible he did a cam only, stranger things have happened.

Devils in the details when it comes to Fox Bodies.
Freebie mods will put them in the 13's in good air.
12's are easy without going into the longblock.
Some people consider anything with a stock long-block as stock.
If you think a cam cant help a stock port and stock intake car you have not spent much time around an NHRA Stocker.

Would you like me to take a picture of the motor trend issue from 1993 that quotes the Mustang GT convertible at 16.22 in the 1/4 mile? I can post up a bunch of stats from older cars. Sure magazine stats aren't exact, but they are usually pretty close. Are you incinuating that a non vert fox was literally 2 seconds quicker in the 1/4 mile?!

That's funny I saw that was 100% bone stock ( I know this as a fact because the car was only a few days at the time) go 14.5-8 on several passes. I also know of a bone stock 95 GT that went 14.8 and those were heavier and slower on average than the Foxes.

Fox's were high 15 second, low 16 second cars stock. New Edges are low-mid 14 second cars stock. He would need enough mods to make up for the more than 1 1/2 second advantage you have right off the bat. Unless you are a horrible driver, this should be a cake walk!
I gave a fox vert with full exhaust, intake, tune etc a huge headstart (probably a good 4-5 car headstart), and still blew past him like he was standing still!

Ok so this guy with an 88 mustang with supposedly stock 5.0 with a cam says he can tear up my mustang in a race. we both have sticks, and i got a 2000 gt conv. CAI and catback. i should take him right? he says his is totally stock except for an high volume oil pump and a comp cam. He totally refuses to believe my 4.6 can beat his 5.0.
