You just need tires since a car with that power is probably not going to be able to go wot until you're around 40-50 mph......
As for me, I tried slipping the clutch quickly from around 3500 or so. No junk in the car, clutch is fine etc....
My last two runs I did in the car were 2.0X and 2.05 which were my two best 60's to date. The track shut down that night before I had a chance to keep going in the right direction. [X(]

My car is auto so i tried a couple of different launchs. First i tried mashing the gas off the light that produced the worst 60 2.491, nest i feathered the throtttle off the line then mashed the gas same result wheel spin. On this run i produced a 2.400.

...what tires are you running, b/c i cut pretty consistent 60 ft's 2.0 on street tires,...i can cut 2.1's with TC on, and i just dont see 1.8 possible on street tires, MAYBE high 1.8 if the racing god and stars line up and someone pushes the back of the car.

well i'm doing 1.8s on street tires, i think you can do 1.6s with the right set of DRs or slicks and good driving...

That's very very possible to cut 1.8's on street tires. I did it with a stock IRS, 4.10 and 255 Kuhmo streets on a decent prepped track. 1.875 to be exact. It's not that hard. I suck at launching on streets.
Hmm well considering you have pretty much the same setup as me except for you being auto I think you should be able to cut atleast a 1.90 60 time. It's a little harder when you got that extra power on a regular street tire, but definetly possible. If your stang isn't your daily driver I would suggest some lakewood shocks and even taking out the sway bar made a bit of a difference for me.
Best time I cut on a 60" with my current setup was 1.89.
