when i turn the boost up a little higher i will have double the hp and more than double the tq of your car Lord Ashram. takes alot to impress me i guess you could say. I Know alot of guys personally with 600+ hp rides so in my personal circle 40050whp cars are a dime a dozen and not considered anyhting extreme. Not trying to hate on you personally. i was just poking a little fun and it looks like alot of guys jumped on the bandwagon.

Nah dude, no worries, when you have as much HP as you have you can afford to tease a bit
BTW, your car should be frikking illegal; honestly, my car scares me a bit at times, I don't think I would have the ***** to drive yours
Such a damn shame, too; if I had waited a few years... when I think about the dough I've put into my car, if I had started with an 03 Cobra MAN it would have been a beast. *sigh* Stupid horsepower wars! Also, you HAVE to know that your "personal circle" is NOT a very representative example of cars, no? Of my personal circle, which includes a '69 Judge, a '70 Mach 1, a BEAUTIFUL '65 Mustang, and a real sharp '70 Chevelle SS, mine is still fastest.
And Fazm, I am an elementary school teacher who just bought a new motor a year ago and a house in February; I can't afford anything else breaking at this point... and the rear end already needs replacing... *sigh* My car has never been healthy, I swear. Plus, I need a decent mechanic... I dunno, at the moment there isn't much I can do.
And for the skittle driver; maybe you just weren't here in 05?

Before I had even read any replies I had decided I wanted to be sure he realized that his car could be beat down by many cars.. maybe he has the fastest thing in a tiny town but even this small town has a lot of cars that are faster. I could just imagine him going out to a group of guys and telling them all how fast his car is only to be beaten by an old CRX or something like that
(a crx like that is more rare than a z06 around here.. but it happens) and then they can go on thinking mustang owners are cocky all show and no go etc..

Nope you are right our circle is proabbly not the norm. i guess when you get your street car to be as fast as wht mine is you end up hanging out with the fastest guys around. one of the guys has a 5-door malibu wagon that runs in the 9's and will dragg the bumper on the street if you prep it a bit.

But honestly I couldn't care less who could beat what down; I never race or anything. I enjoy the car for the driving; I enjoy the feeling of a perfectly matched downshift, or a perfect heel-toe... it is the driving that is fun, not the "My car is faster than yours!" That has never been my bag. Is it a general mission around here to try to make people feel bad about the car they have saved years to buy?Actually, my old home town is the home of the real beasts. I know of at least one pearl white 959, three F40s (actually 2 now, 1 crashed) two F50s, two Enzos, and more Vipers and 430s and 911 Turbos and such than you can shake a stick at... and those are just the ones I actively know... who knows what is in the garages? My old neighbor was the head of media relations for Mercedes Benz NA, and I got a ride in the SLR before it was publically available. Random note; same home town as Russell Simmons, Jason Kidd, and Run DMC; his house from that show he does is up on Fox Hedge Road. Anyway... random, but I do love going for Sunday drives around the parents neighborhood!

Okay, that Subaru was the DUMBEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.
Not all fast cars are equal, and I'll take a stock 70 Mach 1 over that **** ugly Subaru any day of the week. Woof. Why would anyone EVER do that to a hatchback SUV wannabe?
And those girls were annoying as hell.
*laugh* It wasn't MEANT to be funny; I only get a thousand miles a year on my car, so it is just fun and a surprise every time I take it out.
But yeah, the home town originally was Saddle River, NJ. Very wealthy little town. The funny thing is my family is not wealthy at all; mom is a teacher, lived in a 300 year old farmhouse they bought years before the town was anything... but then the McMansions sprung up all around us. Dad was on the landmarks commission, trying to keep them from being built, but beautiful old house after beautiful old house was torn down until there are only a handful of them left. When I was a little kid my mom had to watch to make sure the neighbors horses didn't get out and trample me. Now the only thing that could trample someone is maybe the neighbors butlers.
And yeah, I am a perfectly nice guy. Dunno why everyone else got so bent outta shape after my original post... it wasn't meant to be AMAZING INCREDIBLE STORY, and wasn't a YEAH MY CAR ROXXX YOUR CAR SUXXXOR! thing; just sharing a ride I took and a question I had, and a little enthusiasm after driving. Yeah, I called the guy on his v6, but that is usually a safe call. Note: usually. Not always. Stupid ridiculously fast v6. *sigh*
