I've been trying to get my buddy to switch over....he's a die hard Mustang guy. He goes through Mustangs like most ppl go through underwear. He keeps trying to get a car to run with mine....I just tell him to actually buy one and be done with it.

That is pretty damn good, but not unheard of. Full exhaust, meaning headers, y-pipe, and catback can give quite a power gain when properly tuned. Bone stock 6-speed LS1's have been known to run 12.9 under perfect conditions with an excellent driver. I am a little surprised at the 1.80 60 ft on regular street tires, though. You sure he didn't have drag radials?

 

No, he was running street tires. He burn't the clutch bad but 1.8 60 fts were his reward. He can also drive really well.

He also has MSD ignition, but I don't think that makes a big difference.
