Default 28" tire??

Well getting readu for my second trip to the track and I talked my buddy into letting me borrow his slicks. The only thing is he has a 70's mustang he uses them on and I want to make sure they will fit my '02. They are a 28x10x15.

If these work about what RPM should I launch at? Last time it was only little above 2,000 RPM and I was still spinning bad. I will have 4.10 gears in by the time I go if that changes anything.

Thank you!

with 4.10s those should be ok... but if they are full slicks (and the bolt pattern works - better check) you'll have to launch hard, 5000 rpm hard, or you'll bogg like crazy IMO

No doubt. If they are ET Drags, or something similar, you are gonna have to launch the crap out of it to get any type of good time. I use that same size tire to launch at 5000rpm on a 200 shot and it dead hooks everytime. Best of 1.49 60ft this season.

my guess is you will snap something trying to use the slicks because you will have to launch so hard to use them

Did you have any clearance issues running this tire?
